Pffft I like the Chainel Chi said:The Streets are absolutely bloody brilliant. I think he's got some weak-ish songs on A Grand Don't Come For Free, but Original Pirate Material is almost all solid genius gold.
Skinner's a god.
EDIT: However much of a novelty you may think he is, at least he's not feckin' Goldie Lookin' bastard Chain
Pffft. You would :hmph:ComradeBadger said:Pffft I like the Chain

Weak Become Heroes is almost his worst song - worst as in it's very generic.Pobz said:Don't Mug Yourself
Weak Become Heroes
Dry your Eyes
^ best Streets tracks, although I like the rest of them too.
The sound is pretty unique and the lyrics make sense, not like 90% of other so-called music out there.
el Chi said:Skinner's very self-aware and intelligent with what he does. He doesn't try and live up to the hip-hop gangsta nonsense ("Round here we say birds, not bitches"). He's also very clever with the way he does quite a few of his songs. For example, A Grand Don't Come For Free (his second album) is a concept album, telling a story about Mike (doesn't refer to Skinner necessarily, but all the vocalists in the songs are given their proper names, in all his songs). The most astute example of this is The Irony Of It All - a discussion about the effects of cannabis compared to those of drink and why one's illegal where the other isn't. It takes the form of two sides: the lager lout and the stoner student. Genius.
