seems like they've got their definitions mixed up if you ask me

Still, nobody is saying that they are trying to blanket the term terrorist over every attacker.

I will say that there is one place in the world where this disease has taken hold. The USSR, whoops I mean Russia, its getting harder and harder to distinguish the two.

Bingo.
I believe this could lead to a 'Salem Witch Trial'. When the truth is, some jeolous slut is out to ruin a few good people's lives.

when the mousketeers are labeled terrorists and the DHS targets them for arrest and they go on trial, then we'll deal with the "could lead". Until then judge on merrit of action who is a terrorist and who is not, it's very simple.

Seinfeldrules: I'd call [the American revolutionaries] insurgents, its not like we were singling out British citizens 1000 miles away...

el Chi: Exactly how does it matter where you are? The Oklahoma bomber was local, not from 1000 miles away. The IRA, whilst bombing us for at least 30 years, were technically part of the UK.

Seinfeldrules: Huh?..

The implication in your first statement seemed to be that terrorists did not attack people on their own turf, that proximity was a consideration when defining terrorists. You may not have meant this, however that is certainly what it seemed like.

insurgent is the "kind" meaning of terrorist, that people who hate Coalition freedom fighters use :E

Down with these terrorists in iraq!

Heck the definition for terrorism is even better.

In this case it is a consideration. There was really no way we could have terrorized their homeland. Things have obviously changed since then.
