First off, can anyone tell me what the name of the song playing on www.texaschainsawmovie.com is? I love it.

Second, I just saw the movie today. It IS worth seeing, but don't do anything important afterwards. It is a really shocking movie, and gives a really bleak outlook onto how sick people can be. Very depressing. Take time to enjoy life after seeing it, or you will feel like crap. Ok, so the movie made me feel like crap. Oh, well, I enjoyed it at some level.

Haven't seen the new remake, but i have seen the previous ones.
Love the story, Leatherface rules.

Never seen any of the TCM movies, personally, I'm more a fan of a certain J. Voorhees myself. TCM sounds cool though. I heard it was inspired by a true story. In fact, wasn't there a thread about that?

I'd go see it, but it's not out in Oz yet.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a legend amongst Slashermovies.
Leatherface holds his own against Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers, imho.
They should do a movie with all 4 of em in it.

Slightly off-topic: Anyone seen Freddy vs Jason?
Haven't seen it yet but definately looking forward to it.

I'm seeing it next Thursday...

FANBOY ALERT!

I'm going to be wearing a hockeymask I've found in a Salvation Army store, my work overalls (dark blue), a dark, long-sleeved shirt and my biggest pair of boots.

Needless to say, I'm barracking for Jason.

GOOOOOOO JASON!

Seeya:cheese:.

Horror movies have always bored me. Im more of an action or comedy man myself.

A lot of Horror movies from the late 90's do suck indeed.
It started with Scream, then I Know What You Did..., etc etc.
It's like the 1000 highschool movies that spawned after American Pie, but in the Horror genre.

Jeepers Creepers was a nice surprise though, and Jason X was rocking it oldschool as well (except maybe for the space setting).
There's been some others in the meantime but nothing really worth noting. The US remake of the Ring was ok, but nothing compared to the original Japanese version.

I sure hope Freddy vs Jason doesn't disappoint, and that there'll be more quality horror/slasher movies coming out.

*I* hope F vs J explains how the heck Jason got out of hell. I'm guessing Freddy intervened. I already know a little of the plot from previews.

Also, more on topic, did any of you know that there was a crossover comic book where Jason met Leatherface?

Im 90% sure that Freddy Vs. Jason is alredy out....

yeah it did! Jeeze all you guys saying you cant wait for it was putting me in a time warp!

LMAO the japanese version of The Ring (latest one-1998) Ringu is ****ing hilarious. The US version of The Ring was alright but pretty damn funny itself. Me and my friend were cracking jokes all the way through both of them. The old guy with the cloth on his head is priceless, although i kinda freaked myself out when i scared my friend doing it. lol and when the girl answers the phone at the begining and the voice on the phone says "you going to die in 7 days" my friend goes "i know i have cancer goddamnit!" LOL hahahah it was hilarious o well you wouldnt get it if you werent there.

It's... interesting. Leatherface meets Jason and, peculiarly, invites him to stay with his family.

Jason gets to see Leatherface's folks eating. Apparently, they're cannibals, though they're not dumb enough to try to eat Jason. A pic I've seen shows Jason sitting at the guest's place at the table. You can only see his eyes (hockey mask), but even from that he seems vaguely repulsed. Or perhaps stunned.

He also observes Leatherface's relationship with his father, which reminds him of his own father (never actually mentioned in the movies, I think).

At no time does he speak. Which I think is pretty normal, for him.

Of course, the good times can't last forever, and we soon see a fight between Jason and Leatherface, with the end result of Leatherface going back home for some reason, and Jason being left floating inert in a stream, which eventually takes him back to Camp Crystal Lake.

All this is from memory, so I apologise for any inaccuracy.

Want something a tad sicker?

Cannibal Holocaust
Cannibal Holocaust 2 The Catherine Miles story
Begotten

:)

Rule of thumb: Dont see a movie with the words 'holocaust' in the title.

I'm going to go see it. Funny thing is I live in Austin, Texas(right next to Travis County). I have been to the house before...it gives me the creeps.

You're weird, dude.

Is it that im too weird or your to normal!>?>?>?>!?> bwhwhhahahahaha

I'd watch it-but I'd doubt my parents would come with to see it.
I heard it was really "inspired" by a series of events that happened in Texas so the TCM story itself isn't true.
I have troubles watching the ads. His ugly face gives me the creeps.:(:(:(:(

The movie IS based loosely on a real Cannibal. Hannibal and the Silence of the Lambs were ALSO based on this person.

Read here for more info. VERY GRAPHIC! NO CHILDREN SHOULD LOOK AT THIS! THIS IS REAL!
