Just saw this movie a couple of hours before. A really great war movie, go and buy it. :)

What do you guys think of it who has seen it?

Yeah, it's very good, lot's of great actors :)

...though I won't buy it... that's a movie I wouldn't watch that often.

you should watch the Big Red One (one of the best war movies ever made ..starred a young Mark Hammil) also watch Catch-22 or better yet read the book

This is the one that's 3+ hours long, right? I'm sure i've tried to watch it a few times, but it was always late and I was tired, so i've never seen it all the way through.

Hmmm... it has a 7.0 rating... I think I'm going to look out for that one, I always liked Mark Hamill anyway :D it's a shame that he became so unsuccessful ... :(

ya he just plays a bit part in the movie ..I guess you have to be familiar with the movies of Sam Fuller (influenced everyone from Tarantino to Spielberg) to fully apreciate it ..but it's a great movie none-the-less ...for it's time it was one of the few movies didnt show war to be all glory and heroism

I'm just seeing that it wasn't released here :( ...and it's avaiable on VHS only. Maybe I can find a better copy somwhere.

ya a lot of sam fuller's movies had limited runs

here's a good article on Fuller:

"Jim Jarmusch quotes Sam Fuller as saying, "If the first scene doesn't give you a hard-on then throw the goddamn thing away."

also do not miss Catch-22, excellent film, better book

Catch-22 is great. I've bee p2p'ing it for the past few days, should have it soon.

Thin Red Line was very surreal, was it not? Its been ages since I've seen it. Good flick I suppose. Nothing beats Saving Privat Ryan for WW2 movies tho.

Cross of Iron is another good ww2 movie - that i never heard about till later.
