it will probably be for steam since valve need to try and hype it up for other developers.
 
South Hall will be a booth, Kentia will be a meeting room or private demo for selling Source. Kentia is not a major room at the expo.

One of the Valve stands is part of the VU stand. This is because VU want to show off their line-up for 2004, and this includes Valve.

The other Valve display is their own.

Nothing to see here, move along...

PiMuRho, PiMuRho, PiMuRho. How very naive of you. CLEARLY, they've got two booths because one is to show off HL2 and maybe TF2 and the other is to display just how brightly the sun shines out of their collective arse.

EDIT: Just noticed: one of VU's booths is the same one as one of Valve's!

Vivendi Universal Games South Hall 1200

And its the South Hall one...

As has been pointed out, Valve has one display in the Vivendi section, and one meeting room along with all the other meeting rooms. Maybe there is another demo there, maybe it is to try to sell Source to other prospective buyers, maybe it is just a place for them to kick back and take a break during the long days. We won't really know until we go.

...I need to print out a map and find out where the sneak peek conference is being held...hmm...

Its a shame that movie companies arn't up there, otherwise if one shared the same booth with valve, you know what they will announce

Game to Novel, Novel to Film conversions then, thats why valve has Marc Laidlaw.

Q. Has there been any Film conversions based on Marc's work
 
I wish it were TF2 , but I *think* that Lombardi said that info would be realeased as HL2 got out/got near completion.

I figure Steam and HL2 if there are 2 different booths.
maybe its for ONE BIG HL2 EXHIBITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. . . or not.
edit: ha, made itchy. Reading forums for long time has made up for moderate post output! woo.
 
1 Booth = HL2
1 Booth = Recall of Steam
 
No no no, as it has been stated previously one of the booths is for HL2 and the other is just a private area for press conferences... they are probably trying to sell source or something. The second booth is not for steam, it is not for TF2, and believe it or not its not for HL3!!! (OMG OMG OMG)
 
Don't forget ATI's booth. I'm pretty sure there will be a big screen movie of HL2 there.

I am betting that we will see playable multiplayer at E3. A network of computers, LANed together, with one map... That'd be cool.
 
i dont know about multi, they seem to want to keep this a big surprise.
 
Im really curious as to what they will present at E3... I mean really, when was the last time we got some NEW screenshots of video? For all we know the game has gotten a massive overhaul... I can't wait until May 30

I wanted to mention somthing, but didnt wanna start a new thread, this seemed the best option, has anyone noticed how nice the Valve info thread looks today, that last one is a bit wierd but the answer is nice :)
 
i dont think we'll get multiplayer info till there isn't a possibility of it being delayed months. I'll use that as an indicator of HL2's imminece or whatever : )
 
My money is on it's for Steam. To pitch it as a content delivery service to publishers and developers.

TF2 we'd see at the same booth as HL2
 
Let's face it... we have no idea what's going to happen at valve's booths at E3.

Lobster, yes, I did notice those new e-mails, and yes, they did fill me with a giddy hopefulness. :)

I just hope we don't get let down again.
