This is a great article but very long. Apparently before WW2 (1936-1939, Not 1812), the US had plans to invade Canada, or Annex Canada, for it's natural resorces. My most favorite quote in the whole article is this one:

"The invasion of Canada will not be like the invasion of Iraq. We will actually have a plan this time."

They also say, if the US would try to invade Canada it would not work. Canada has thousands of secret weapons in America. We have our movie stars and civilians on your streets, and if the US would invade Canada, it would not only cause your stock market to totally collpase, it would benefit Canada ALOT!!

For example, Wall street will become part of Ontario, The UN will be located in Montreal, Disney would be moved to Vancover and all the movie stars would move to Canada...they seem to like it here more anyway.

So invading Canada seems like a good idea....For Canada that is.

And then the US has so many countries pissed at it right now, that if they decide to invade Canada, most of world would gang up on the US and totally dismantle the country. Then Canada would be a very big country stretching from the north to mexico.

I must ask...Please invade Canada??

actually most historians consider the war of 1812 a stalemate. while we failed to occupy any significant portions of british canada we also defended our own territory against the british successfully at baltimore and new orleans. we gained nothing and lost nothing.

If the US did take over Canada, I'd probably move to Europe..get back to my roots. I hate the thought of the US goverment governing Canada. I hope you aren't referring to soldiers in general CptStern, if you were, i have just lost a huge amount of respect i had for you. Unfortunatly that argument doesnt work with yanks any more. They have decicded that they didnt lose in 'Nam because when they left in '73 the state of South Veitnam still exisited and offically still had all the territory it had when the French left.

So because of this it must have been the ARVN who lost the war, not the US as they wern't there when Saigon fell. The fact that they removed the US leadership and air support that the south veitnamese needed to fight effectivly is beside the point.
