...What's up with the forum masking the urls used in the posts? Makes it damn hard to link to anything. PLEASE remove that annoying 'feature'

That's something that the author chooses to do, not something that the forum automatically does. Links could really use underlining though, as it is quite hard to spot them sometimes.

Or a different colour. I'm sure someone experimented with different link colours but then they went back to this one.
What about this?

Well, thats either because it's a link to something banned (for good reason, like a certain woman in a bathtub or a rather distasteful shot of a man sitting down with... ahem) or because its a dot t k link.

Slight thread derrailment here, but i don't really like creating new threads, so i'll paste this on the end of this. Occassionally once i refresh any forum page or click any link, in firefox the bars of which are not darker grey change to a lightly/greyish blue, which looks pretty nice. Pictures below are not editted, it just happens randomly. Perhaps if it catches on the glitch can stay :(

It happens to me when I load the forums, but seconds later the darker colour is loaded over it.

Why is tripod and hl2 world banned too?

tripod = same reason as above

hl2 world = to prevent further site wars.

It happens to everyone.

The blue you see is the background colour of that cell. It disappears as soon as the darker image gets loaded on top (the dark-blue to lighter-blue gradient).

Not really seconds, more like deciseconds (decaseconds? sp?).
