In the canals when the Vortigaunt tricks out your boat, talk to him. Keep pressing the use button, and he just keeps talking... There are a few things that he says that can be pretty insightful, and he says alot about the first half life game. Here is a breakdown of what he says. ::
- "The Freeman will accept this weapon, or suffer greatly on the road ahead!"
- "We remember the Freeman. We are coterminous."
- "There is no distance between us. No false veil of time or space may intervene."
- "We see you still in Black Mesa. Clearly we see you in the Nihilanth's chamber.
- " We bear witness to the bright eternity of the Nihilanth's demise. You leap, you fall, we see you flash beyond the barriers."
- " For a brief time you joined with us. You are one. Between the worlds."
- " Communion of the vortessence. And that other: a deeper mystery. No deeper than the void itself."
- " We cannot forget those whose cords you cut. Forgiveness is not ours to bestow."
- " Unity of purpose, the shattering of common shackles, a single road we tread."
- " Your song we sing and shall sing for eternity. No matter the consequences of this struggle. "

Geeze he wouldn't shut up.. Anyway.. the starred quotes seemed most interesting to me..
The quotes about far distant eyes look through yours makes me think that all the crap gman puts Gordon through is just to entertain us. Gordon isn't needed until the next half life.. where he will be piloted by people all over the world on a linear story that feigns a sort of choice, but in the end we all beat the game with the same ending..
Oh yeah, and if you look at the monitor screen in kleiner's office and switch the camera u see gman walking by a gate.. not sure if thats been mentioned yet.
Last thing, does anyone see the resemblence to Kurt Vonnegut's book " slaughter house 5" ? The whole aliens that can see the 4th dimension, which is time. The Vortigaunts seem to "still see gordon beating that monster in the first half life" Blah blah blah,
this is making me sick.. I just want answers.. This whole game can't be as complicated as we are all making it.. Goodnight
