Best games ever? Nope

Worms 2 was good fun though

But look how cute they are... throwing skunks at each other. Theres a game with class, cant find many of those anymore.
 
Worms 2 does kick major ass. Too bad they had to go and make it 3D. I love that game though. I am king of the ninja rope!
 
Worms World Party is the best I've seen so far. 3D was just a bad idea.
 
Yeah I've been playing it via lan at school a lot (our computers cant run much more) and the ninja rope is beastial if you know how to use it right. They are always surprised how I can go vertical and sheet with it. My favorite has to be armageddon though.

The computer at my school has a better processor then my home compiter :( (home 1.7 Ghz, school 2.8 Ghz).

3d was ok but I really loved worms 2.
 
The original Worms on the PS is where it's at. Infact I'm playing it right now with 3 other friends.

We meet up at the same time every week to keep the league going - which has been a very, very long time.

Excellent game :)

Isn't the original worms on Sega Saturn? My buddy had it for Saturn and the characters hardly looked like worms. I loved that game though.

Everything before the 3D was great, only when mainly playing with friends.

It seems a new 3D Worms game comes out every month with the amount of spam I get from Codemasters.
 
Worms was great. You didn't even have to be really playing it to enjoy it. I remember having tons of fun trying to kill the worms in the craziest ways possible.
 
Worms was great. Then they went 3D and ****ed up the series. Worms 2 was pretty fun when I played it but i'm currently trying to get a copy of World Party. Hard to find these days.
 
Worms is awesome, but as with other games (Monkey bloody island 4! Grr..) it was ruined when put 3d. I loved the first game, never played worms 2, but I did own armagedon and world party, I was very good at them too :D.

Which is actually an accomplishment because they require tons of practice and skill. Easy to learn but hard to master!
 
I definately had the most fun with worms 2, becuase it was the first I played. I thought worms 3d turned out better than I had expected, too.

I roxed those games.
 
Worms World Party- the last of the great Worms games. Picked it up for like 5 bucks at EB and worth every cent and more.
 
It actually started out on the Amiga, and I believe it to be based on a shareware game called Scorched Tanks. The first 2 were excellent, but unfortunately, you really need to play on a console with 3 friends! :p

The 3D version is also great fun in multiplayer, on the XBox, and I am looking to pick a copy up on eBay... :p
 
i loved worms 1 (my dad bought it when it first came out, around $95, that was damn expensive back than), i played it sooo much. worms pinball and rally were nice, fun additions. worms 2 was pretty good, but after that they didn't innovate too much, until worms 3d which was a good attempt but was coming less and less 'worms like.'

i'm waiting for worms 4 : )

Oh my god, forgot about that, TRULY one of the best worm based games.

And then there is Liero Advanced, which has water physics! Nothing better than breaking open a pipe and having the water pour down realistically into the tunnels where your opponent is :devil:

Bastard games dont work on anything newer than WinME...
 
My mate had it for Saturn. Those were the days! Worms was an awesome game to play with a friend, always used to love the grenades :D

It wasn't ruined when put into 3D. It was ruined because it had a crap story and settings.

Grim Fandango was 3D and rocked.

This is actually the Liero Advance I was talking about. That Liero Extreme ruins the feeling of low res good old Liero. And it doesn't have water physics, like Liero Advance!

Aah, I always remembered it as Liero AI (as in artificial intelligence). Yeah it's a good game. Unfortunately I have trouble playing it with friends on the same keyboard because of the keystroke limit :\. If any of you know a good keyboard without a limit (available for purchase in the uk) then gimme a shout.
 
For anyone who has trouble getting Worms Armageddon to work on Windows XP, Team 17 has released a beta patch that fixes the problem. Since I discovered this fix, long nights on Wormnet have been giving Guild Wars a run for its money!

Also, did anyone here ever get into the Fiddler? It was meant as a way to customize weapon sets and create custom missions, but an incredible side effect was its ability to create new weapons. You could pick your own sprites, sounds, and properties, and create burning toilets of doom, exploding projectile worms, or anything else that you can think of. Some of the most fun I've ever had with a game. Unfortunately, it doesn't work on Win XP, even with that patch. :(
 
Great fun but doesnt work in 3D - They made a HUGE mistake there...
