BERLIN (Reuters) - Pop star Kylie Minogue, famous for her skimpy outfits and on-stage gyrations, says she is aghast at all the sex in pop culture -- and even feels like blushing when she watches music videos that go too far.
"When I see some of these HipHop videos I'm as horrified as my grandmother and think 'Oh god, what gross things are they doing there?'," the 35-year-old Australian pop queen told Germany's Der Spiegel magazine.
"In advertising and on lifestyle magazines you see more and more of a pornographing of pop culture," she added.
Minogue, who scored her seventh number one single in Britain at the weekend with "Slow", said that earlier pictures of her in tight clothing are harmless compared to what she sees in the media nowadays.
"That I once wore something very tight and short pants is nothing compared to a lot of things you see today," she added.
She said her video for the song "Slow", in which she lies in tight clothes between men in bathing suits, consciously swims against the tide towards more sex.
"It's a big step backwards," she said. "I'm just lying there and not doing anything exciting....My ideal of eroticism is more Brigitte Bardot."

I'm from Sao Paulo, and I knew about ppl here surfing trains, but I've never heard of this ' huge underground culture ' ... I just thought it was a stupid teenger thing, like everywhere else...

JOHNSON CITY, Tennessee (AP) -- A bullet fired in the air during a Ku Klux Klan initiation ceremony came down and struck a participant in the head, critically injuring him, authorities said.

Gregory Allen Freeman, 45, was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in the Saturday night incident that wounded Jeffery S. Murr, 24.

About 10 people, including two children, had gathered for the ceremony. The man who was being initiated was blindfolded, tied with a noose to a tree and shot with paintball guns as Freeman fired a pistol in the air to provide the sound of real gunfire, Sheriff Fred Phillips said.

A bullet struck Murr on the top of the head and exited at the bottom of his skull, authorities said.

Freeman fled the ceremony but was arrested near his home, authorities said. He was released on $7,500 bail.

Karma is a b*tch.
