Theory Behind Valves Absence - Here are some of my theories as why Valve isn't Talkin

We have less then 8 days until the suppose release of Half-Life 2. Valve still has not spoken wether the game went Gold or if it's delayed. With careful and extreme research, here are some of my theories that i believe may have happend:

1. MayBEE Valve has blown up and got fully destroyed.
2. MayBEE hurricane Isabel destroyed Valve.
3. MayBEE It was all a Hoax.
4. MayBEE the game is shipping to the store as you read this.
5. MayBEE the game has been cancelled.
6. MayBEE Valve is toying with us.
7. MayBEE Microsoft bought them out.
8. MayBEE Steam's Bugginest is holding up the release.
9. MayBEE some of the Valve employees are on strike.
10. MayBEE Combine soldiers have taken over Valve.
11. MayBEE Valve is secretly planning to take over the world.
12. MayBEE We all have a disease and we all think that there was a Half-Life 2 in development but theres not.
13. MayBEE the G-Man did something to the Valve team.
14. MayBEE there trying to port it to the GBA.
15. MayBEE the power went off and they lost there backups of Half-Life 2.
16. MayBEE Valve just disapeared off the face of the planet.
17. MayBEE Valve has the Buster Virus.
18. MayBEE Valve got the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) while trying to make a backup of Half-Life 2 and everything was lost and there in so much shock that they can't answer their emails.
19. MayBEE Valve is really on a vacation far away and not working on Half-Life 2.
20. MayBEE we will never find out.
21. MayBEE the world is going to end.
22. MayBEE theres life on Mars.
23. MayBEE the people at Valve are Xen aliens.
24. MayBEE there will be an announcement today.
25. MayBEE tommarow.
26. MayBEE we are all aliens from Xen.
27. MayBEE the G-Man is really part of our Government.
28. MayBEE Gordon is our true savior.
29. MayBEE Black Mesa really exist. Perhaps Area 51.
30. MayBEE We don't really exist.

Those are just some of the theories I have been able to come up with. NOTE: I am not sure if any of these are true so they should be taken lightly.

well, they have been very sneaky about the initial information we've been given as well. We know virtually nothing about the story line besides some obvious stuff. (we get to shout monsters and soldiers, yay!) And the footage + movies have not been that revealing either.

If you read the story on how hl1 was made you'll read that in the end everyone was going nuts. The whole team was testing the game for show stoppers and a huge amount of work had to be done. Now the team seems to be chillin and Gabe is awnsering mails and giving people tours.... that does not sound like it's complete madness at the valve hq.

I think the game was allmost ready when they made the initial statement. I think the fixed the last glitches and squated the last bugs and now they're going to let the game catch us by surprise on the 30th.

I reckon that the game is already finished and on it's way to the big retailers to fill the pre-orders. The second batch will be shipped to hit the shelves in time for 30/9. MayBEE I'm wrong. We'll just have to see. Just under a week to go now ppl.

Valve is just playing mindgames. First they poke everyone's eyes out with the gamevids and then keep an immedate radiosilence. And if they aren't talking, people get curious about what's happening. This results in people talking about Valve and the game, which is exactly what a company wants.

And it seems they've suceeded.

I have a friend that knows this guy that works with this girl who works at Big Lots who has a friend that is a Janitor at Valve, anyways he said the game is delayed until September 30, 2077 because Microsoft wants to make it exclusive to the Xbox first. (Halo)
