Things you hate(d) to hear from your parents

Whenever my parents called me by my full name. That was always time for a paddlin'.

ha ha... funny thing is, ur dad DOES say that all the time...

...i love ur dad man.

Dad: 'Now you are back at college you have got to be getting into this habit of going to bed early like at 10, not at sodding 3 in the morning!'

My philosophy is if im am tired, i will sleep, trying to control my sodding sleeping paterns...

Mum: 'Remember.... A and 2 Bs....'

Ever since I found out I needed an A and 2 Bs for Manchester University, my mum seems to think its beneficial, and will serve some ultimate purpose, to remind me of it 50 times everyday...

Me: What's for dinner?

Parent: Wait-and-see pie.

AAARRRRGGHH!!!

Used to hate 'Turn it down' - In fairness, I did often have fairly loud music on, but it was the way it was said :p

Or when I used to get trapped by them asking what time I got in last night, when they'd know when I got in, and I'd have no ****ing clue as I was too pissed.

"Don't give me that attitude"

"You have an attitude problem"

"Your attitude better change soon"

"I'm sick of that attitude of yours"

I'm guaranteed one of the above lines once a week.

Me too.

And my mum always tell me to ?STOP cursing!?
Followed by a lot of.. uhm.. cursing :D - Seriously, if she could only hear how much sh!t SHE says she probably wouldn't tell ME how to talk.

My mum's very good at the passive aggressive "No it's fine" manouver.
Example:
I was going to go to the pub on Christmas Eve, but my parents were having some friends over, some of whom had kids in their early teens. My mum asked if I could stay for a while to be sociable, especially in terms of the teenagers (they might feel put off if pretty much the only other people they could speak to were adults).

Me: "Yeah no problem! I'm gonna have to set off about 7.30 though."
Mum: "You couldn't stay a bit longer, could you?"
Me: "By which you mean 'I will be very disappointed if you do not stay longer than that'?"
Mum: "Basically, yes."

Bless 'er.

Oh, and the ever-so-occasional moment when my mum or dad addressed one another with "dad" or "mum" (respectively) - that's just freakish. They get reprimanded for that by my sister and I big-time, so it doesn't happen any more.
I tell you, I hate to do it but if you don't tell your parents off they'll never learn.
