...next year. Not Boxing, but doing Kick Boxing and then hopefully moving onto Muay Thai. Anyone here do it or ever fought in the ring with any style? I've been training in Jeet Kune Do for 6 months now and i'm starting to do Muay Thai which i am really enjoying, i also went along to a big full contact kick boxing tournament with a few of the guys from the club to see them fight and thoroughly enjoyed that...well most of it, watching the kids go at it was crap. I've been talking to them about possible paths into it, as well as with my coaches, but i still have to get my fitness and flexibility up and i definately have to get a lot more sparring in. After that, i'll start with the point fighting, then move onto semi-contact and then full contact, which i really can't wait for.

I used to be into boxing, I got sick for a long time though and never really got back into it afterwards. It is a lot of fun. I would do muay thai if we had anyplace around here that did that, it looks great. Good luck

I was going to get into boxing as well, but the local club trains the same days as the muay thai and jeet kune do clubs, so that throws that idea out the window. But a lot of the guys that i'm training with did used to do boxing as it is a great foundation to move into sports like kick boxing and muay thai.

I have solid brass balls the size of water melons, so they'll be in for a nasty surprise if they do :O. If every American did the same, they'd be no need to carry guns about everywhere...i mean, who is going to mug Bruce Lee ;)

I think that's a sure sign of testicular cancer

or at the very least you havent gotten laid in awhile :naughty:

Well there are a few things you need to do before getting in the ring, if you haven't already. Get a stupid, obnoxious haircut and pair it with an equally stupid and obnoxious dye job. Piercings are recommended but not mandatory as they add style to your pre-fight interview. And last but certainly not least, tattoos. Lots of em, even if you have plenty of room on your front/back torso and upper arms, go for tattoos on your forearms. Everyone knows that badasses have tattoos on their forearms.

Good point, although few people mug the dead, only grave robbers. Good luck with the kickboxing, i've watched some fantastic videos on the internet of some killer KO kicks, and the variety and skill of it looks hugely rewarding.

Enjoy fighting Jean Claude Van Damme and then killing his fat friend in a fight but when you have to fight Jean he beats you and eventually makes you give up and in the hospital he gives his friend a beer and they laugh while bad 80's music plays over the credits

I consider myself a natural Kung-Fu master. I don't need training.
