I imaginate xzibit hosting it
"yo yo this is the thing to everything relationated to GAME!"

and the reason of why I dont like that is that it say "game and music" so sure is going to be 10% games 40%bands and music 50% advertising and sure the only games will be games like need for speed undeground and sports games

I hate how video-gaming is starting to be a fad, appealing more to that mainstream pop shit. I watched a brief thing about 50 Cent's game... he was talking about,"How my new game is going to bring things, it aint gonna be like videogames before." What's so new about his shitty ass videogame? He doesn't know shit about video games and whatnot, is this how the future of gamers going to be like?

100% how I feel about it.

Ugly stuff, "mainstream pop shit" is...

Hopefully there will still be such thing as a good game in the future...

I guess this is how a lot of people feel when the genre of entertainment or ANYTHING for that matter starts becoming mainstream.
Its the way of the world im afraid guys.
To appeal to more mass audiences games are gonna become more and more about making a buck than producing good products- look at Hollywood in the last 5 years for example, and 'alternative' music for another example.
Lets just hope that game developers like Valve continue to have quality and long term enjoyment as their main priorities.

We're going to be seeing more EAs in the future :bonce:

Ugh, how I hate 50 cent.

My game gots like, the bullet time and shit know what I'm sayin? And guns, man, aint never no game got guuuunz before brotha.

Wasn't 50 cents game the one where the trailer showed the briefcase clipping through the table?

Yes. In elementary school, us kids who played video games would get teased about being 'dorks' and 'nerds' and whatnot because we were gamers. Nowadays, those guys doing the teasing would've been gamers themselves. I think it was better in the old days. :p

Along with a bunch of other visual glitches and bullshit impossibilities. How did he manage to cut that guy's head off again? Because I watched that damn thing twice and I don't see how it's possible.

And then he finishes off by shooting an old man in the face who is hanging off a ledge. Wow, that's badass, "Fiddy".

I will like to make some website or something against this

In school, you're only a nerd if you talk about games that are not GTA or Halo :|

thats another thing, that most young people dont try other games except for the famous

Assuming the development process gets far less expensive in the next few years, we're likely to keep on seeing games that raise the bar, and push the standard quo, like Half-Life and Katamara Damacy.

Look at the film industry: Sure, the mainstream is chock-full of unoriginal clichéd pop-culture drivel, but there's still tons of movies that are actually worth watching and are actually original and fresh, like Garden State and Cube.

It'll all work out, and it'll turn out to be the same sort of culture it was when videogames first started being published: There'll be mainstream pop culture kids who buy the same game over and over who will look down on the "underground" group who appreciate the games that try to do something different.

"Yo yo foo! I've got da greatest video game of the century, you all digging me. The briefcases clip through the tables. Like... like a clipping through the table, you'll never see that in a video game foo!"

I can imagine it.
I was extremely exicted about Half-Life 2 coming out, but no one in my class knew about HL2, they all knew about Halo 2 coming out though. We were all exicted.
Me and my friends went to our friends house right beside the school and played Halo 2 at lunch for the next few days. He got it just before school started, then we got caught by the vice principle.
He almost threatened to kill us if he caught us going to friends house again at lunch without permission from parents. Bastard.

Gaming is ****ing

e XTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Good job pes, now we'll have to scroll a mile to the right to read a long paragraph.

That's real smart

Yeah. I wondered why my window was extra long.
Nah, we were fine.
We seriously need a new principle and vice principle, the vice will only make threats, and the principle literally kills you if you accidently bump into a person.

How is video-gaming a fad? It's been around for like 30 years!

Dude, I said STARTING, meaning people are all of a sudden big about it. It's the wrong group of people that are making it big as well.

I'll be the first to confirm.

That's so true.

Skateboarding is going / went through a similar phase. Used to be a pretty core group of kids, now it's all over MTV. It has its good points and bad points. On the plus side, there'll be LOTS of new content out, some good and some bad - take the good. On the minus side, online servers will go downhill with a quickness. Imagine legions of newbies (and I don't mean beginners, I mean "non-gamers" with no notion of gaming etiquette all over the servers. You think it's bad now? Dang! There are certainly more good and bad points, but it'll be a fun ride.

But games that suck always suck, so who cares if 50 cent is advertising a game...if it blows no one shall play it and those that do will burn their copies in anguish at wasting their hard earned cash.

What's so bad with gaming developing mass market appeal? In fact ignore that, gaming has had mass market appeal for years you guys just seem to waking up to that... could you all be a bit to young to have a decent sense of perspective by any chance?

We'll just need to band together and become admins and ban the bastards!

I'll be the first to express dissent at that statement. Ever heard of Disney games?
