This gun is legal in 'merica!

two things:

1- I want one!
2- It's in wonderful condition. I've met a few collectors of historical military weaponry, but nothing like this. I wonder how much each round cost?
 
How the hell can something like this be legaly owned and operated by a civilian? If it wasn't operational, and was only for collectors I would understand but, WAT.

If you have the money, the right permits, and a spotless record you can own just about anything. I see no reason why a responsible citizen should not be allowed to have one of these as long as they have the means to acquire one. He won't use it to hurt others, so why not?

It's not like it's a handgun a child could accidentally shoot itself with. There is really no good reason why he should not have it.

One thing is for sure. I want it positioned to cover the approaches to my post apocalyptic fortress.

The thing is an impressive piece of history. The fact that it is in such amazing condition is impressive as well. If this guy wanted to he could do a lot of damage, but then so could a guy with diesel and fertilizer or an angry person with a big truck and a bad case of road-rage... Should we not allow them to have these things because they are dangerous?

If you really thinking making a gigantic anti aircraft gun illegal is going to stop murders, you're stupid.

When was the last time you heard about a murder in the news with an anti aircraft gun?

Wow, thanks Stern! I just sold off all the fertilizer and gasoline for a major profit! The towel on my head thing was an excellent idea, since when the security guards came to kick me off for selling things unauthorized on mall property, they just looked at me like I was just a crazy guy with a red bath towel on my head, and didn't even bother to file charges.

Its not like a weapon like this is easy to obtain. I doubt a person stupid enough to be a terrorist would be smart enough to have made so much money as to be able to afford such a weapon and be willing to lose all his assloads of cash.

And how the hell would you deploy a weapon like this to do any damage? It's simply a defensive weapon and has no characteristics for assaulting anything.

It saddens me how many tanks some people could buy each year but don't... on their pocket change alone.
 
There's a guy near me who owns a couple of tanks that you can pay to drive around, haven't been there myself but I'm sure it's a load of fun.
