This has been done before but... Your game ideas

To all those who whine about level grinding (I agree with you), take a look at Play Station House.
No level grinding, just achievements; look at how totally awesome that game is.

Please explain to me how home is a game to begin with, from the looks of it it just looks like a place to check out a bunch of ads.

Eh, I'm not sure what I would have marketed it as if I were Sony.

Playstation Home
totally awesome
I'm going in to the shop today. I want to have my sarcasm meter looked at. I know it's busted but I want to see if I can get it repaired; if not I think I'll just spring for a new model with a higher sarcasm detection filter because comments like these are really messing with me. I don't know whether you're serious or not, and that's really determining whether I should laugh with you or mock you mercilessly.

If you can't sense the amount of sarcasm in my previous post, Darkside, get a new model.
Don't even bother repairing it, I think it's beyond obsolete.

See man, I knew it. This shit's busted. I blame compatibility issues after I installed that new firmware for my Hate Management Unit and reinstalled the old drivers on my Care-o-Meter.

My perfect game at the moment would be one that combined the best parts of Left 4 Dead, the Rainbow Six series (sans Vegas) and Call of Duty 4. Basically, an online cooperative shooter, but tactical and varied in the vein of R6's terrorist hunts, and with the levelling/perks/customisation of CoD4. That would almost be too awesome.

As far as MMOs, I'd like to see some more interesting player/faction interactions (or more interesting anything, really). Instead of just having set factions and saying "kill those other guys," why not make things a bit more dynamic? What about an MMO where you could be the kind soul trying to bridge the gap between bitter rivals? Instead of just being thrown into a race war and told to fight, players choose to align themselves to either harmony or dissonance. Harmonic players are always questing and fighting wrong-doers in an effort to win over the other races and bring peace. Dissonant players are evil, bigoted, or just wish to profit from conflict - they're always trying to drive a wedge between the other races, the end goal being to create hostility and eventually war. This creates division even within player races, but also a kind of co-dependency, and it makes the conflict dynamic depending on player actions. A friend today could be a foe tomorrow.

Oh, and I second the desire for a decent open-world zombie game. Doing supply runs between cities, recruiting followers, building barriers and finding places to hunker down when the hordes grow too thick to fight back, basically just doing anything to stay alive. Awesome.

I heard the SD-7800 model of sarcasm meters was pretty good, and it's got 5 mod slots so you can put your care-o-meter in! And it supports all the latest firmware...
