Girl gets tongue stuck to freezer

A Russian teenager ended up with frostbite after turning to the freezer after burning her mouth on a hot drink.

The 13-year-old girl had panicked after scalding her tongue while drinking tea.

She opened the freezer and placed her tongue against the interior wall to cool it down.

But her hot tongue quickly became stuck fast to the appliance.

Because she was alone at her home in Severodvinsk, northwest Russia, she had to wait for her parents to return home to be rescued.

She was still face down when they walked through the door some time later.

Her frantic parents called an ambulance after failing to pry her tongue loose, local news agency Delfi reported.

Paramedics managed to free the girl but discovered she had suffered severe frostbite and took her to hospital by ambulance.

Doctors later said they had managed to save the girl's tongue after several hours of treatment.

I find that comment a little offending and uncalled for. You don't have to be Russian to do something like that, can happen to anyone.

A freind of mine happens to be a Communist. I don't argree with his views but he is certainly not stupid and doesn't deserve to be judged that way. It really bothers me that this Cold War mentality is still going around.

poor kid, 13 years old has no political beliefs I bet, hell she is 13...

Hey what do you know, I guess they teach absolutely nothing in American history classes, if some people believe that Russia still is communist. Or maybe people don't read books anymore, but watch another movie based on "true stories" by assclown Tom Clancy, where Russians always are bad guys and always communists.

Funny thing, teenagers in Russia now listen to all that MTV garbage, buy European or American cloths (it's all made in China anyway), and watch more of Hollywood garbage. The only people who run around with communist flag are elders, plus some poor families. But that's okay communism and anarchy always attracted poor people, they got nothing to lose.

Actualy, almost all of it is made in Isreal or Turky. My mother worked in that business.

IMO, it's because they want everybody to suffer as much as they do. They tend to ruin other people's lives. Envy.
 
It was not communism that sucked, it were the greedy political leaders. Communism is a good concept in theory, but Russia lacked direction, purpose. If we unite toward a common goal, all things will become easy.

So are you ready to give up everything, to be equal, to be same as everybody else? I am sorry, but humans are not made for such life. Even in dawn of man, we fought for being better than another. Everything the same = boring + not healthy. Russia just proved that communism can exist on paper, it’s just a theory, it won’t work. Don’t point to China, look how miserably people live there.

This is my religion. God? I don't know. Life after death? Idunno either. But I believe this is the meaning of life. The transendence from the material needs of the caveman, to the immaterial purity of love for all your fellow people. Why are we here? To unite, focus our intellectual efforts, devise the plan, and create an economy and social order of unending prosperity.

You can say it's not possible all you want, over and over, but you cannot deny that it is the only way we can survive out of the chaos we live in now.

The thing about Communism is that it's an utopia in theory, but screws up the minute the human race gets in the game. 'Nuff said.

(at least during Cold War). You seem to hate communism so much, but yet you don’t even understand why you hate it, or what communism is all about.
 
I hate Communism, not former Communist states, nor do I hate inhabitants of Communist countries.
I hate Communism because it's the largest threat to Democracy.
Trust me, I know why I feel the way I do.
You don't know me, so don't state otherwise.
 
I think the largest threat to democracy is abuse of power by those who have it.

Communism isn't all good, I'm just saying, there's some concepts in there worth considering. The world should be run by the people, the economy should be run by the people, and the people should benefit from the economy. Government in this economy would be like a handicap.
 
Yeah, I thought the russians aren't communist any more. China neither. As far as I know. I could be wrong.
