I have spent the last 1 hour and 30 minutes searching the endless internet for a simple ****ing program that will convert Quicktime (.mov) files to either WMV or AVI files...BUT ITS ****ING IMPOSSIBLE!

90% of the programs have either disgusting water marks, or they only convert HALF of the video and demand you buy the program. The other 10 % simply dont ****ing work, they dont even have the right formats i want to convert too.

I need my project to be done tomorrow morning, and i cant spend all night looking for god damn converter program...this is driving me insane.

Anyone know any?

If VLC Player plays .mov files, which I suspect it does, it can convert them to MPEG using the Transcode feature.

VLC is very iffy with .mov files. A lot of times it will play video but not sound.

KagePrototype, can you go through step by step on how to do it?

I cant figure out do do it on VLC either :(

Omg im going to kill myself anymoment now. Ive been looking for ages...

EDIT:

FINALLY i found one. RAD Video tools. Jesus ****ING Christ i hate Pixologic for making .Mov files the only renderoutput...and **** YOU Apple

Thanks for all the help guys!

Yes. **** you apple

KMP and GOM media player both play mov. files - unsure if the codec is built in or separate dl.

Zoom player will play Mov. files, and it has the codec built in.

I suffered the same issue as you.

Guess what I did, I downloaded Sony Vegas Pro trial, imported the movie in and converted it to avi as an actual project. Pretty pathetic but it does the trick.
