Well, I haven't posted in months and months, so let's kick this off with a bang! Oh hey! An awesome looking football game!

It's called Backbreaker, and boy is it a looker. It looks amazing. It utilizes the Euphoria engine that is used in The Force Unleashed and more notably, GTAIV. It's big selling point is the fact that it doesn't use any canned animations for gameplay, and that every run, juke, grab and tackle will be different.

I have to say, I am very excited. These gameplay videos look amazing and I think it's hilariously awesome. What are your thoughts?

No canned animations my ass. In that video you can see like 10 instances where they used the same "shoulder thrust" tackling animation.

Doesn't help that the graphics look like ass too.

Still, its about time they utilized the Euphoria engine in a football game.

I love the Madden games for Wii and the NFL Street series. Mainly because I love multiplayer 2 on 2 etc. which are always hugely entertaining after a couple of beers with your mates. Judging by that footage alone, I would buy that game just for the hours of multiplayer fun. Can't wait! :E
