Politics do get dull, especially when it's not so much a debate as a series of vaguely connected rants. But meh, look at the UN. That's that whole "real world" thing for you.

If a thread title looks political, you dont have to open it up and read it. I only do when im interested or just in for a debate. The US elections are important though, take some interest in the world around you.

I don't think I'm understanding the problem here.

If you do not like to discuss politics and don't like political threads then why do you click on them? That doesn't make much sense really.

But like Sprafa says it will all die down in about 2 weeks. Until then though, the election is the biggest thing happening in the US right now so people tend to talk about it a lot.

As other's have suggested a political forum would be nice. However, I doubt it would be used much after the election. I think a better thing would be to have a forum for controversial topics. For example you have the off topic forum and then you have an opinion and debates forum where you can talk about politics, gay marriage, adoption, stem cell research, nuclear weapons, etc. I think that would work better.

There is a point where subforums and so forth become pointless. There are quite a number of people who think that most of the off topic section should become just the one forum again. Also, it just adds to my workload having too many sections...
