Ahhh...
In mid December, after a month of well needed leave, I'll be flying out to the USS JUEANU - Home Port in lovely country side Sasebo, Japan.
It's been one of my dreams to go to Japan, and it finally came true. The only bad thing is that I have to leave a lot of people I love behind...My girlfriend cried, but still told me how happy she was for me and made me feel better about it. When my parents swallowed it up and cheered for me it made me feel good.
And it's not so much about going to Japan why I made this post, but the people behind that love us. The people you love who make it worthwhile to do the things you do. Whether you're supporting a family, enlisted in the military, or anything where you work hard and come home to those who love you.
It's these people that keep me going in the storm. The people that stand behind us and say 'You can do it, baby.'
Thos are the people that you can never forget, the people who it hurts so bad to miss...but you look forward to seeing them and cherish them all the more when you do. Anyone in or that has been in the military, or just plain separated from those closest to their hearts for an extended amount of time, know what I'm saying.
Anyway; Never forget those who love you and keep you going. Always remember that you are loved and what you do in this life matters...maybe not to you, but to someone. So do what is right.
Sprafa, my girlfriend and my family will always be there when I'm gone, and they'll always be waiting when I come back. I love them all so very much.
