Where the hell did all this "exclusive demo" shit come from?

Don't publishers realize that releasing a demo is a form of advertisment? The more people who download it, the better it is for them.

Unless of course it's rubbish.

Well publishers know that websites will pay them money to get exclusives. The publisher gets money, the website makes some money off of people who sign up for the demo. Everybody wins! (except people downloading the demo ) Exclusive or no exclusive EA know we'll all be downloading the demo anyway, may as well make some money somewhere.

because then all the money gamespot paid EA having it exclusive on their site would be for nothing. its just business. the gamespot servers will be heavily loaded down, and at the last minute many people will pay $7 to get a subscription to get the demo.

even many who are protesting it now will cave in when the time comes. its just smart marketing.

That is why I will swear this very minute, before man and God, to never, ever, sign up for a premium service just to download a demo.

I refuse to encourage this outrageous practice.

Yep, if you pay theres no lines and great speed. If you don't you most likely won't get the file. Or else you will be waiting in a 3 hour line. Just wait for it to show up as a torrent. You will also get good speeds by using the torrent. I'll try and post it as soon as it's available
