What settings can you run this game at and what are your results? I am thinking of honestly 'downgrading' because I here the TI 4200 blows my FX 5200 out of the water, and I've seen the benchmarks in games as well. And no one tell me I need to get a different card, my computer only supports PCI cards, so all I can do right now is 'downgrade'.

2.53 ghz processor 512 mb rdram Geforce 4 Ti 4200 64mb.
1024x768 settings on high, no vert-sync, 2x AA
30-50 fps. Amazed me. Usually around 30 tho. In big games it might drop down into 20s if theyre all in the same area at once blowing stuff up. Usually that doesnt happen at all tho, and I get pretty smooth gameplay.

I need to dounle check but I'm pretty sure everything except shadows, AA and AF is maxed (I never run AA or AF as I don't really see a difference too much).

I have the Ti 4200 128Mb card

I have one, 1024 Everyone on/on high. No AA/AF or Vert Sync. I frankly can't tell the difference with AA/AF Vert Sync on..

Runs well...30-50 I suppose.

I have a 128mb Ti 4200, 2GHz P4, and 1024mb of RAM.

Running at 1024x768 w/ everything on high and no antialiasing, I get ~50fps for the stress test, and ~25fps in game.

I have a Gainward Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128 mb card,2.4 Ghz processor and 1024 mb of ram. I run cs:source at highest settings including full AA and AF and get a steady 30 - 50 fps in game. The funny thing is, my game used to lockup about a few seconds or if I was lucky a few minutes into the game. I was getting tired of downloading/reinstalling things to no avail so I set AA and AF to the highest and for some reason my Cs:s hasnt crashed since.

i was gettin 20-30 fps with everything but AA/AF on.

after using the -dxlevel 70 (81 is screwed up) im gettin 70 constant.

ti4200 is directX 8, not 8.1. Try -dxlevel 80. It should still give decent framerates, and you'll have kewler water effects and dust.

I have a ti4200 on my other rig, and it works ok. The game is very CPU bounded it seems. The P1.5Ghz I got in it gets a hard time with the fysics, glassbraking & explosions. But 4200 still is a very decent card.

liar!! i got 3.06ghz, 1gb Ram...overclocked ti4600, and i only get 65 in stress test...dont boast.

saying that tho, thats with AA on, and also AF 2x..mmmmm maybe not lying to much.. sorry lol :(

amd 64 3000+
512 ram
ti 4200

i ran all high with no aa or af cause i dun care if i had those, and i ran FRAPS once and i kept 60 fps on de dust on the ebta version extremly well. Maybe when we were all in tunnels with alot of people in there it got to 30, but 30 is still extremly playable by my standards
