Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland stills

3D ****ing sucks.
You have to wear extremely uncomfortable glasses for it to even work.

not a big fan of art direction

Ugh. Videos keep getting removed. Haven't seen it. If Johnny Depp is get a lot of attention, he might end up playing a too-big part in the movie which will be stupid, but maybe they just used him because he's really good in his scenes but doesn't have a huge part.
From what I've seen it looks like it's going to be a mix of Wonderland and Looking Glass World, like the disney film, which is fine with me. I only hope Burton doesn't just focus on his style and doesn't let the actual story fly out the window.

Am I the only one who thinks johnny depp looks like elija wood (the guy who played frodo) in the first pic?

I saw someone else on the web who said he looked like Madonna, which cracked me up tbh.

Saw the trailer. I didn't know Disney was in on this. I dunno, the trailer seems too serious, and the hatter's lines aren't like him at all. It seems they're trying to give some story to it but the books aren't exactly story driven, if that makes any sense.

Is this the first Tim Burton-Disney film since TNBC?

Burton... I dunno. I can't fault the actors chosen for this movie, but sometimes it seems like his movies are more and more weird for the sake of being weird. Sometimes this formula works, but not often. This looks like more of the same, but I'll wait until the reviews come in.

Burton's movies are weird in a way I don't like. I'd rather Depp was friends with someone else. :|

Christopher Lee is voicing the Jabberwock, by the way, that should be pretty cool.

this is what I saw in that trailer:

"JOHNNY DEPPJOHNNY DEPPJOHNNY DEPPJOHNNY DEPPJOHNNY DEPPJOHNNY DEPPJOHNNY DEPPJOHNNY DEPP also alice"

Seconded. The Mad Hatter is only one encounter out of many in Alice's wanderings. Since Johnny Depp is starring, however, it could well be 45 minutes of Hatter, Dormouse, and Hare drinking and being crazy and kooky, Alice shows up for 10 minutes, and then 45 MORE minutes of Hatter, Dormouse, and Hare acting crazy and kooky.
