Is there a way to change the dates of posts to read month/day/year instead of day/month/year?

I know it's a Brit thing to have it how it is but for me it is supremely confusing.

I drive a Japanese car and do my own work on it so I'm down with the metric system.

I can't guess how much something weighs in kilograms, and I don't want to, But arranging dates as month/day/year seems more proper than arranging it day/month/year just because it goes smallest to biggest.

Maybe we should rearrange the order of the months from smallest to biggest while we're at that.

But the american systems are still confusing, EXCEPT for the fact that all their measurements are based in the real world- It's easy to say how many feet long something is, because it's a natural length but I have trouble estimating stuff in metres, becuase it's less intuitive. Except decimal is better than... whatever american one is.

There is also another big advantage to the American system... Doubling/halving quantities. Sinse it's all based on halves, fourths, eighths, it's easy to split down. As for decimal... I don't know about you, but dividing things into tenths is not very easy.

Why not have year/day/month? Other than smallest to biggest, there is no logical way to decide the order. Conceed to our superior system or face being accused of illogicalness.

The fact that I had to go away and look up how to spell superior in no way detracts from our superior systems superior, er, ness.

just to tell you i prefer metric because it makes science home work easier, you just got to love multiples of ten.

And to go along with my first statement all we have to do to switch in a snap is teach the next generation to use metric. problem solved o and about the m/d/y or d/m/y thing i always mix them up any way like when i mean to do it just one way thought the gay i will switch between the 2.

I was taught metric alongside standard in elementary school.

Everything depends on your particular teacher or school I guess. I was also a military brat so maybe they think it's more important to learn both systems.
