**** THE 2000's.
Good ****ing riddance. Good bye, so long.

Here's to hoping that the 00's is the worst decade, by far, of our entire lives. If this gets any worse I'll just walk out the door and live like a hermit (more so than I am now).

I'm getting extremely drunk after tomorrow.

Let me say this to you about every decade in history:

THEY ALL SUCK EQUALLY.
 
No, they don't you malformed cocksquatter. I happened to mildly enjoy the 00's until about early 2005, like 2 months after HL2 came out.

EDIT: Except for the terrorists, they bummed me out quite a bit. Also depending on where you were during a particular decade: 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's were the bees knees. 90's were alright compared to those, but I was born in 90 so I'll just say the 90's were the best.

...anyways SHUT THE HELL UP. This is about letting out your hate for this PARTICULAR decade. Not about dick measuring.

90s were the best, but 80s rocked too! 2000's sucked horse dick because life was good and then shit hit the fan. also i doubt things are going to get better this next decade
 
actually this last decade has been slowly going very up for me. from going to highschool, getting over my glandular fever/subsequent chronic fatigue, doing well in my A-levels, going to uni, meeting lots of awesome people, falling in love, being in a happy relationship and finally this last year getting back in touch with an awesome old friend. All in all, an incredibly good decade.

This decade for me has mainly just been about inventive ways of wasting time lol.
 
Didn't we have 3 big crises? First the dot-com bubble, then with 9/11 and finally the subprime mortgage crisis.

Also, USA invaded two countries so that's two more stripes for them.
 
And here's to the scams, lies, wars, and scandals of the 10's!
 
I'm just in disbelief that it's been a decade already. I was looking at a Decade in Music list last month that made me realize that, all during the past decade, I went from middle school, through high school, through college, and now to grad school. It's been crazy.

I'm going to reserve final judgment for a couple days until the decade is actually over.
 
What's so wrong with this decade? I rather enjoyed it.
 
This past decade was 63% of my life so far, so I don't think I can really judge it.

In 2000 I was in primary school, I now have a degree. That's progress for you.
 
The 00's was arguably the worst decade for the most number of people for the past century. Only the 1930's can really surpass it in actual terms of suckiness.
 
The 00's had alot of problems, but mostly superficial problems that don't mean anything. Cmon the 70's had Vietnam, the 30's and 40's had WW2, 50's had cold war which made everyone shit their pants. 60's had hippies. 80's weren't that bad. 90's had that shit in Somalia. 20's had Prohibition, so did most of the 10's. 1900's had WW1.


Also I realize I didn't organize that correctly, but I cba to fix it.

Yeah, I chuckled at that, especially since "International Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World" is probably the last thing I would associate with the 2000s.

I just checked out the Wikipedia page, which is a bit of a mess but still interesting to read through.
 
Actually Dog-- WWI occurred from 1914-1918. The 80's also had a tremendous amount of poor taste and should be considered worse than the 60's whenever possible.

So that whole thing about WWII, WWI, and the Spanish Flu was all just peanuts amirite?

Just FYI, the total casualties from WWI/Spanish Flu in the 10s was between 87 and 137 million people.

I agree. Even though i'm not really old enough to have lived with any substance in the decade prior, i'm just so ****ing over everything from the 00's.

In the past decade i've gotten addicted to cigarettes, fostered a nasty drug habit, gone from a total loner to an outgoing ****up to an out there loner ****up, fallen into the deepest depression of my life, and completely ****ed my ability to feel emotion.

I came back home for the winter break, only to find that all my friends that I graduated with have turned into shady ass coke monkeys, my friends that are still in highschool have become LESS mature and MORE irritating, and my friends whom I graduated with that aren't shady ****s have regressed to a state of social phobia.

I'm so over this decade.

Hey bro, can you stop being a whiny bitch? Stop trying to disprove everything like this is some scientific journal.

I'm talking about decades when people in the western world (since that's where I'm from, ya know) felt best about being alive. In case you never knew, the 50's are considered to be the happiest decade in American history: WW2 was over, the economy was growing, and a new culture was spreading.

As Hunter S. Thompson puts it, the 60's was like "riding on the crest of a beautiful wave" and the 70's were when that wave finally broke. There was a lot of crazy and fun shit going on: LSD was popularized, rock n roll went to unforeseen heights, funk got popular, punk started, The Beatles, cinema evolved into what it is today, Hippies, modern spirituality, etc.

I don't think I need to explain any further why the 50's - 90's were generally really good years for the western world. Yes there was bad shit going on, but I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that those political problems helped fuel a cultural backlash which was so great and powerful as to make an overall happy and progressive environment.

Not today, now we just get people like you bitching about everything.
 
Yeah , the decade sucked ass.That is why the next one will be filled with exciting new discoveries.I think that it will be relatively peaceful (except Afghanistan and other problematic regions)
 
Supposedly the world is going to end in the 10's, in 2012. I guess it's not going to be such a good decade after all.

3rd decade on this planet for me, damn that made me feel old just thinking of that. But if looking at it just personally this decade has been great for me; best one so far.
