90's had some of the best cartoons and sitcoms around.

Everything now is all shitty CGI.

WWF in the 80's and 90's was awesome, now they changed their name to WWE (wtf, stupid world wild life fund), everything is going downhill, chicks are wrestlers? there's no more cool, hilariously dressed good-guy/bad guy wrestlers with weird names...anyways

00's were meh, kinda shitty when you're comparing them to the other decades.

I really don't think things will get much better in the 10's..a decade is qualitative, not like a name change of the next 10 years will actually change something.

I agree. Even though i'm not really old enough to have lived with any substance in the decade prior, i'm just so ****ing over everything from the 00's.

In the past decade i've gotten addicted to cigarettes, fostered a nasty drug habit, gone from a total loner to an outgoing ****up to an out there loner ****up, fallen into the deepest depression of my life, and completely ****ed my ability to feel emotion.

I came back home for the winter break, only to find that all my friends that I graduated with have turned into shady ass coke monkeys, my friends that are still in highschool have become LESS mature and MORE irritating, and my friends whom I graduated with that aren't shady ****s have regressed to a state of social phobia.

I'm so over this decade.

I was supposed to meet up with an old friend who used to be really flaky... and apparently still is. Hasn't answered his phone three times, and I think he hung up on me one of those times. I figured that after a whole year, he might be more of a responsible person and less of a flaky bastard, but some things never change.

But I guess I can at least be glad he's not a shady ass coke monkey.

[edit] Wow, just got a call back. Total surprise. I guess everyone I know just happen to be last-minute spontaneous people. I feel so old and irritable right now. Thanks a lot, noughty aughties.

I wonder if people will ever look back on the 00's and feel proud of something? Will those kids who grew up in this decade look back on it and say "remember Hannah Montana? so ****ing awesome! now there's nothing like that, it's all gay."

Or, "remember emos?", "halo 3?", "so ****ing awesome."

The only cultural phenomenons which I do respect are probably internet hooliganism and YouTube, 4tehlulz. Although mostly it comes from boredom and the 00 kids won't even remember 4chan.

Yeah I'll probably just remember the internet. Even though it was around in the 90s, I only started extensively using it around 02 or 03. I was always behind the times a little bit. Only other cool thing I can think of at the moment is music switching over from physical cds to mp3s, and the explosion of accessibility to relatively obscure bands via the internet.

It has something to do with the Mayan calendar, I believe. It's all a bunch of nonsense, and it's a easy way for Hollywood directors to get money off of it, as seen in the making of the movie 2012.

00's definitely sucked. 90s were awesome, as were the late 80s. I was born in the 80s though, so most of the 80s stuff I remember, I experienced in the 90s (tv shows mostly). But the biggest reason the 2000s sucked, was the terrorists. Not the acts of terrorism themselves (though it goes without saying that they were terrible), but the response the US had to them was far worse. This country has gotten absolutely retarded since 9/11.

Also, gaming went mainstream. Easily the second worst thing to happen this decade.
