Time to talk summer plans

My plans change based on my relationships, income, opportunity, and sometimes the weather.

This.

For me, I'll be trying to fit a holiday in around work. Apart from that I'll be going on lots of random outings with my girlfriend and getting some good food and getting pissed with my friends whenever I can :)

I'm actually getting really bored of spending time on my PC, so hoping to get out more now. Thankfully I have a car now so getting about is very easy.

Plans:

-Continue going to school and trying to make up the 3 years that i'm behind.

-Switch to full time status at my Student Assistant engineering job I'm horrifically under qualified for, but love so damned much. Hopefully they don't give me the boot! Hoping also that my grades for the semester come back good enough to pull me out of academic probation, meaning that they will bump me up to the Universities payroll and give me a 5 dollar raise :D !!!

-My mom seems to have high hopes that things will go better for us (aka HER) financially within the next month or so. She told me today that by next month she plans to have enough money for us to move back upstairs! (as of right now we are living in our garage and renting out the upstairs + a small studio next to the garage)

-BUT, MOST IMPORTANTLY... I'm hoping my wrist will heal up within the next month, meaning that I can take this god damned cast that i've been wearing on my dominant hand for the past 2+ months, and stop trying to pretend like i'm ambidextrous or left handed!

Plans for the summer:
Buy a lot of booze.
Get a lot of drunk.
Do a lot of musics.
Give a minimal of f*cks.
Get a lot of f*cks.

Not necessarily in that order.
Pretty much this

I'm going to play a shitload of Dota 2 and either Path of Exile or Torchlight 2. In the margins, I'll continue practicing bass and maybe start learning C++ for real.

Sounds miserable minus the bass part

Current Plans:
1. Diablo III
2. Computer Architecture or Industrial Organization Theory for summer classes. Might take both, although I'd rather have time for D3.
3. Mandatory refresher training consisting of crawling around in the mud and pretending to lead squads on an assault etc. etc.
4. Learn how to draw -- has been a long lasting goal of mine, although I don't know if I'll have the time for it.

I'm hoping to get two weeks to myself at home again this year (that's only happened twice before), but I would also love to spend some time in the Lake District with my friends during the holiday, seeing as this is the last year our family is going to be paying for our caravan.

Hmm. My plans now revolve around hoping that I get more work hours in the week and benefits. I just applied to the open job position where I work, the same job I've been filling in for during the past 6 months.

I hope I get it! It'll mean a full five day week at 35 hours including benefits, which I did not get before working 3 days a week and then 4 days a week at a maximum of 28 hours per week.

- Travel with Band
- Do shows with Band
- Practically live at the pub while not with Band
- Have sex with lady friends
- Eat food
- Pee
- Poop

i AM GOING to sPEnd eat my shit

Well, I got the job! Had to apply for it, and go through the full interview process. They had to keep it official. I was more comfortable than I would have been because I know my boss, but she was asking all the same questions she would a regular interviewee so I was kind of nervous.

I'm now permanent full-time... 35 hours a week(yeah not 40 like most places, but it's the same for all the employees here except certain people), including benefits. I've never had employment benefits before in my life, so this is great. I also got a little pay bump from what I was making before too, so that's awesome as well.

And additionally, I'm headed to Walmart right now to pick up my Virgin Mobile LG Optimus Elite phone, and will be activating my new phone tonight. I'll finally have a phone! Unlimted text, unlimited data(not really but for teh most part yes), and 300 minutes a month.

You damn pre-career-age kiddos. The only thing I have going besides working for the Man and keeping the missus happy (and playing games obvs) is perhaps getting to do more scuba diving.

Well I'll never have a missus in my life, if I can help it. I need to find other things to do though so I have more going for me :p

I'm finished my exams now. I don't know what to do. This is really weird. It's like....the whole purpose of my life for the last year has been to get to the end of these exams. All my life, pretty much, has just been one exam after another. And now they're over for ever, and I have nothing pushing me forward anymore. It's sunny outside but I don't know how to handle it. It just gives me a headache because I'm used to being inside all the time. I had so many things I wanted to do during the exams but now I can't remember what they were. I feel like I should be doing something exciting and interesting, but I'm just sitting in my bedroom listening to Orfeo ed Euridice and wondering who I am.

It's all rather melodramatic. I can't pretend that's not slightly entertaining in itself.

Keep keepin' it real, bro. Unless you meant you're into dudes, in which case, keep keepin' it fabulous.

Edit: Made more fabulous.

LOL.

Just not into the whole idea of marriage.

I though I congratulated you in this thread already Raz. Guess I thought it but didnt post it. Anyways, congrats!

Also my plans may have just changed. I left this morning around 11am to get my car registered again (last registration had expired, so I got a temporary registration last week), and at ~ 3:30 I finally got my registration and plates. So as I'm driving home with my fancy new license plate, relieved that the DMV/Registration ordeal was over with, my car starts chugging, the low coolant light comes on and suddenly steam is flowing from the hood. I pull off the highway and my car stalls at the light. Some guy in a pick-up pulls me off the ramp onto the side for safety, and I call my dad (a mechanic). He shows up at about 6:30pm, gets my car running with more coolant, and take over driving my car while I drive his behind. During the drive back we have to pull over twice to refill the coolant and let the engine cool. Now we're back at home around 7:45, he takes a look and says that it doesnt seem like the coolant is flowing properly through the engine, and that there may have been some significant damage.

TL;DR: After spending a week of headaches with the DMV and emmissions testing to get my car registered, plus $275 in fees and about 6-7 hours of sitting around doing nothing at the DMV offices, the car I just did all that for shits out on the ride home and I may need to buy a new one. I also dont have money for a new one.

That ****ing sucks Krynnbro. :(

I just traded my Xbox and a couple hundred for a tinny little boy racer Familia. Great deal but it's going to need some work, thankfully my housemate is Mr. Cars and doesn't mind helping me with stuff, just need to get a few more hundred together for parts and it's all go. Next step after that is learning to drive a manual. :B

Wait this isn't the car thread

Edit: **** you forums, you told me it failed to post.

cars are pretty fun to drive I mean I never drive any cars but you know sometimes it's mean to just go out drifting

I've been drifting before in a car, around the corners, it's when the car sort of skids but it's cool!

This summer (read: winter) my plans include sleep, getting a Duty Manager's license, and finishing off the garden! It will be a spring with probably way too many veges.

Wait this isn't the car thread
Yes it is. My current plans are to not molotov my own car, because every time I get in it I need to fix/replace/kick something else into working condition.

Oh and also make lots of moneys at job and have lots of funs with gf and all that normal person stuff.

I think VT is trying to tell me something:

Actually now that you mention it, a car is on my agenda as well. Although I can't really drive at the moment, so maybe I should do that first. Although if I buy a car and learn in it, I wont need to adjust to a new car when I get my license. Driving scares me.

Getting my forklift license will probably make driving easier though (hopefully).

I had a wall of text written, but figured I could condense it as follows: I will be outside, probably on a mountain bike: sometimes I'll ride it to a swimming hole or river, sometimes I'll ride it to places where I'll camp overnight. Exceptions to this revolve around release dates for anticipated video games (Metro Last Light, Episode 3, Bioshock Infinite, etc.)

Update to my plans:

Started seeing a psychologist.
Not moving to Alabama.
Moving in with my sister and get husband a street over.
Going to hopefully get better and start finding a better job.
Become more involved in my church community.
Lose meself in the depths of the radioactive first of Paraguay.

The amount of alcohol and pornography and cigarettes and cali kush I've consumed in the last 3 days has caused me to throw up a grand total of the entire rest of my life. This is it hl2..net Tonight is the killing blow. Heh. Blowed. I've been conditioning my body for this night for months. Trillions of people pouring in from California and the entire rest of the next four cities over all for the birthday of one special negro, the reincarnation of Bob Marley.

For one night of black people rolling burritos and giving them to me to eat during the flight to destination St. Elsewhere location the backyard garage room fence door gate into the brain that Hulk and Spider-Man have given me the keys to, to destroy Gozer once and for all and save the living and ghost realms. My penis looks like a grilled raisin.

If I don't make it due to alcohol poisoning or running around with a Hulk mask in my and my balls look like a peach underwear finally gets me killed, you are all the apples of my ass.

By midnight tonight I will ascend to Tanehood.

Prepare my office overlooking Hell's skyline, Satan. It begins.

my plan for the foreseeable future is fffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Thankfully buying a new car is now off the agenda. My dad fixed it. Spent a grand total of ~$800 on the repair, but still a lot cheaper than new car payments, and its probably in better shape than before, and it was always in good shape. I like this car, so its a relief not to have to buy a new one or get a shitty used engine for it.

My plans are now back to doing whatever I feel like, after saving some money to refill my reserves.

I'm going to spend the summer corralling willie's goatst down the hallowed streets of Ripville

rip in peace

I'll be visiting Sri Lanka again at the end of this week, staying for about a fortnight. Mostly to attend my fiancé's sister's wedding. Which has an open bar, hurrah!
