John Titor is a self-proclaimed time traveler from the year 2036 ...it's an interesting read and there's a mountain load of back story and tons of forums to visit but some of it is quite well done if it's a hoax ...

"Although there is debate over the exact date it started, on November 02, 2000, a person calling themselves Timetravel_0, and later John Titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036.

One of the first things he did was post pictures of his time machine and its operations manual. As the weeks went by, more and more people began questioning him about why he was here, the physics of time travel and his thoughts about our time......

Although it may be easy to dismiss all this as science fiction, most people who read his posts agree that there is something very haunting about John Titor and what he said. In addition, and open to more debate, he also made a series of predictions and comments that eerily seem to be coming true....



what do you all think? nutcase, prankster or the real dr who?

Well if there's massive terrorist attacks in the upcoming olympics and lots of deaths, this could be true.

The truth is that Titor's entire story was based on a role-playing module created for the GURPS fantasy roleplaying game in 1996. GURPS is a game that deals with time travel and alternate dimensions. Titor convinced a whole slew of gullible nerds on the internet that this game world was in fact real. The module in question can be found here:

This module has all the elements of Titor's story, (escalating conflicts like Waco, conflict between city vs. county, civil war in 2005, reconstituted Russia that nukes the USA and China and Europe in 2012) it's all there.

There ya go, bullshit all along just as most sane people expected.

the fact that some of you guys are actually not being definately sure if he's a timetraveller or not is scary in itself, it's so darn obvious this entire deal is a hoax. You have no idea how far some scammers may go to confuse an entire community, and this guy apparently succeeded in confusing the entire internet with just a couple of theories and a fake time machine.

Any way, on topic, i dunno, its probably fake, seems very strange though, to me this titor guy is nothing more than a good story teller, and unless his predictions start to happen i won't think nothing of it.

The civil war in the United States will start in 2004. I would describe it as having a Waco type event every month that steadily gets worse. The conflict will consume everyone in the US by 2012 and end in 2015 with a very short WWIII.

If time travel was possible, wouldn't we know about it by now? Wouldn't someone have come back and told us? I mean someone besides this guy.

I suppose they could have decided in the future to enforce rules like "no travelling back beyond 2010" or something.
