Anybody else playing this game? I just picked it up and am about to play.

let us know how it is.....I heard that it was a Diablo/Dungeon Siege clone with new graphics.........

Yes it does play almost exactly like diablo, but its leveling system is similar to guild wars in that you get to chose two classes eventually and you can get most of you skill points back and reassign them (for a price, though money is no object). The game is very large too, I have played for 8 hours and only just entered the second land. For a diablo clone, it is quite good.

It seems to be a longer/larger game than diablo. It plays just a little bit different though: no scrolls of town portals. (Or need for identity scrolls, for as far as I have gotten). You get to place a "teleport" kind of stone anywhere you go and as often as you want, although you can pnly have one down at a time. Well, they let you teleport to any city you have previously been to; so basicly this is like a portable WP from diablo.

I like the fact that it does have online play and that you can play custom maps online; (the game comes with a mod editor/ map editor which is quite good I might add) I have already started my own Egyptian adventure just trying to familiarize myself with the editor. Hopefully I will get to eventualy play it with other people online.

All in all, from what I've played of it it's pretty good. (I've only played about an hour or so)

Will edit later with some.

My 6600gt oc'd seems to handle everything on high except for shadows, or I have to put other things down to crank up the shadows. There are a few spots I've encountered that seemed to have a little framerate loss. I'll check that with fraps later on also.

The demo was fun and looked great, but the gameplay seemed pretty limited. Just mainly hacking and more hacking and linear gameplay and precious little interaction with the environments and their denizens. The editor would be fun as heck from the vids I have seen though, so I will probably get this one after its ~$30.

The game is amazing, and grand. The demo serves it NO justice. And the game only gets better as you progress. I'm level 15 now, and I feel like a god of war. I march into an army of undead and start flinging them off screen with an axe in my right hand and a mace in my left. :D

Not to meantion, the spells kick ass too. Just started a mage. And it's fun lobbing mortors onto clusters of enemies and sending them flying.

I've been playing it for a little while now and I'm level 26.

I just got a KICKASS new bow.

I just finished TQ on normal, level 30 conqueror (warfare & defense) and I'm really disappointed. First of all, I've never seen a game crash this much in my entire life - it's not just me too: the support forums for this game are filled with complaints about the game's instability. And I'm also disappointed because I can't change my masteries, I thought once I unlock the next difficulty level I could create a new character but no...

However, the game is really fun and the graphics are amazing especially in the third act. If anyone knows a way to change masteries without restarting the game please let me know, right now I'm trying to do it with a hex editor but it's too complicated for my tiny brain.

You only get to choose your initial mastery and a second one at level 8. That's it. It's like choosing a class in D2 or any other online RPG. You pick once and you can't change. At least this game allows you to get back points you put into abilities you don't end up liking.

The game crashed a SHITLOAD for me when I didn't patch. Since then I've crashed once in like 6 hours of play so it's not as bad.

I downloaded the demo, but everything is ****ed up. The menues aren't working. It just says "tag error" everywhere. I managed to get into the actual game and that runs just fine. Any ideas?

Got to My Documents/My Games/Titan Quest Demo/Settings/options.txt. Find "Language = xxxx" and change this in "English". Copy the whole line and open
xxx\Titan Quest\Settings\default.ini. In the bottom you paste the line you just copied. Save both files and start the game. Presto.

Thanks, I found out like 5 minutes after I posted my plead for help.
