TMNT Mod looking for Coders and Mappers (Half-Life 1)

The mod's name is "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Online." It's a melee-based game with the familiar ninja turtles and their specific weapons. The game is based on the new TMNT show, though there will be an official addon pack with changes the models, music, etc. to the classic TMNT from the 80's and 90's. The gameplay is all melee, though there are some long distance elements to it as well. For melee, i'm looking towards a system similar to the mod "The Specialists." This mod, however, will be focusing mostly on weapons and less on punches and kicks.

Here's a list of some of the characters planned and the way they will each work:

Leonardo:

Well, he has two swords, therefore he has a lot of strength. Leonardo will do the most damage out of the turtles. His combo attack would probably be random slashes with a finishing slash that is quite large in damage. However, after the large slash, it will take you about 1 second to be able to attack again, in which time you are... "recovering" so to say. He will have the normal 10 shuriken throwing stars at the beginning of his life. He will also have punches and kicks, and his jumping attack is a double-sword slash. He will be one of the slower turtles along with donatello because of his large and heavy weapons. He will also defend himself by holding his swords in front of him in an X position.

Donatello:

He will have his trusty bo-staff to help him. His attack power is a bit smaller than Leo's, but to balance the game, he is a bit faster than Leo. His combo would include random whacks with the staff and a finishing semi-circular "sweep" where he just sweeps all the nearby enemies out of the way with the staff. He has the 10 shurikens and he is able to give his punches and kicks strength by pivoting off his bo staff. His recovering after attack time will be the same as Leonardo and he will guard himself by holding out his staff. His jumping attack would be sticking his staff straight out to nail anyone in his way.

Michelangelo:

Here is the guy with the Nunchaku. If you've already seen the nunchaku model in the Pimpage and Posing section, then good for you! He is the second quickest turtle out of the four, and of course, the weakest. His speed more than makes up for it though. He has quick "whacks" of the nunchaku with his combos and his recovering time is the quickest of the turtles. He has the 10 shuriken, and the kicks and punches. His jumping attack would be a straightforward kick which is good for quickly dodging a grounded opponent and kicking them back. He will be able to defend by spinning his nunchaku in front of him.

Raphael:

He is cool but rude... erm... he has a pair of Sais. He is the single quickest turtle and perhaps the fastest character in the whole game. He has a barrage of sai-slashes for his combo, and his recovering time is a bit more than Mikey's. He has the 10 shuriken and the punches and kicks, but as an added bonus, he is able to throw one of his sais! The sai deals about the same damage as four shurikens, and is good for taking out one more enemy when low on life. Though the only problem with the sai-throwing is that he will have to continue with one sai, which i might add, is not throwable. His jump attack is a double sai-slash and he guards by putting his sais into an X position. He is the second weakest character in the game.

Those are the characters we would want in on at least our first release, even if they are not as complete as i want them to be. Some characters which we hope can make it into later releases:

The Shredder
Master Splinter
Casey Jones
Hun
Bebop (Not Confirmed)
Rocksteady (Not Confirmed)

The Mod's default game modes which it will have in the first release are:

Team Deathmatch:

You will split up into 2 teams and senselessly beat the living hell out of each other. The team with the highest frags at the end of the map is the winner.

Deathmatch:

Every man for himself, at the end of a map, the person with the highest frags is the winner.

Here are some game modes we are thinking of adding in later releases:

Co-op mode (Like the classic turtles games)
Single Player (Unlikely)

POSITIONS NOW OPEN!

Go to this temporary webpage for applications if you want to help out with the mod.

PLEASE, no more modellers and skinners, we are full of them. We need mappers, coders, and sound artists.

This is a temporary webpage. We decided to keep it simple just in case the mod breaks apart.

Thank you very much for the long read and i hope you decide to help out.

I'm gonna start locking mod threads using copyrighted material

oh yeah, you made onions cry asking for coders

i'm slowly recovering. you need one coder for this.

I'd probably play this, looks good. As long as the combat was executed very smoothly and professionally it should be good. Would this be 3rd person or 1st person?
