This game has gotten universally bad reviews. I can't say I didn't expect it when they showed the peripheral at E3 earlier this year. It looks like it could be a candidate for one of the worst games ever made. I don't see it selling well even after a price drop (it currently retails for $120). I don't think the Tony Hawk series will be back after this. EA Skate dethroned and destroyed it for good.

Thoughts?

Tony Hawk steadily rode downhill ever since the first game. Though underground was kind of neat.

I didn't think anyone cared at this point.

1&2 were excellent. The others were gash, underground was entertaining for a while but never rekindled the charm of the first two. Ahhh I can remember the sound tracks too. "RIDE" eh? Another new name?

The T-Mobile screen embed is a complete turnoff for me. They were obviously trying to get the trendy douchebag demographic.

The video that appears on the T-Mobile thing looks like something out of a Sega CD game.

Looks completely retarded. Not what the Tony Hawk series needs if they were looking to change up the formula.

Looks like a decent idea; pity. I liked the old games, still play THPS 2. # 4 was also good for the while I had it.

Tony Hawk 2 on Dreamcast - originally not interested in a game like that, I decided to be open minded and give it a shot. Damn, that game was outstanding.

Tony Hawk 2 had an awesome soundtrack iirc.

Underground was pretty cool, too, though I thought Project 8 was a real POS.

2 was my favorite, but the series got milked and now its utter shit, giantbomb also makes me laugh a lot

That vid just demonstrates how god damn simplified the game is going to be to make it easy to use that board.

they should have just used the dog for the commercial for the game!

I wonder if some skaters would end up doing real tricks on it even by accident, especially simple shit like kickflips and ollies.

As someone who doesn't give a **** about skateboarding games even I will say TH2 kicked ass! :D

But yeah I'm glad this is going to fail pathetically :|

I just saw a stand for this game today in the UK offering an early chance to play this before it comes out. But then I noticed the big list of warnings on the display which most prominently said:

all injuries are the responsibility of the end user

or something to that extent, I can't remember the exact wording. But yeah **** that shit! :O
