Tony Hawk's Project 8 Demo Out

Checked Xbox Live Marketplace earlier and noticed the Project 8 demo was out.

It's a LOT better than Wasteland, THUG series....and pretty much all of them. Found it pretty cool how when you bail your character becomes a "living ragdoll". To me it seemed like that Euphoria thing in the Indiana Jones game from E3, looking at how the character reacts when hitting stuff etc.

It's really sweet, and still Tony Hawk at it's heart...

The "Nail the Trick" is a really nice addition IMHO... Really adds some skill elements into it and gives you the opportunity to nail some awesome tricks / combos.

About the ragdolls, it's a mix of keyframe animation and ragdolls to give the cool-factor of ragdolls to make it more believable and react to the environment while also adding in the "accurate-ness" of key-frame animation. It offers animators some control over the skater's animations so they don't look too goofy. They did a pretty nice job on it.

Graphics are really nice too..I dont know what it was but once THUG 2 hit (Or even THUG 1 to an extent) The characters in game started looking like short pudgy trolls.

I played this over at a friends house yesterday and I was really impressed.

The Nail The Trick thing is really, really cool... but they really need to fix the ragdolls. The graphics are amazing as well.
