Took down the dropship(almost)

Argh!! I almost blew up the dropship!!

At the end of Highway 17, where you get to fight gunship in the lighthouse- I parked my buggy in the garage, went outside and ran as fast as I could to the lighthouse, got my rocket launcher out, and as soon as the first dropship appeared, i started blasting away at it. By the third rocket, the container the dropship holds blew up, by the 6th rocket, there was smoke and fire coming out of it and then I fell off the lighthouse dammit

Can somebody try this please, I'm sure that it takes like 7-8 rockets for the dropship to go down but i'm not fast enough

You can't take it down, I fired about 25 rockets at that one once, they don't die.

No there is absolutly no way to kill it. It is completely immortal, sometimes it does start to smoke if you keep shooting it

While we are on this topic, what's the command so the combine gunship does not explode once you destroy it, but rather hits the ground in one piece, displaying that beatiful physics engine.

That bugcopter landed right perfectly on a pile of cars, too perfect at too off an angle to be anything but scripted.

Dropships are invunreble, besides, you only need to take down the container.

oh well, at least is great when you are on top of the lighthouse and fire an RPG at the combine, ragdoll effects at its finest.

I don't think it's a glitch. If the alien gunship is flying at a low altitude and heading towards land when you hit it with the 3rd shot it'll crash without blowing up.

I think the gunship landed once. I always kill it when its high up in the air. If there was a mini mod or something that would like it land always that would be cool. Gunships crashing into Striders. OOooooOOOoOoOoOOooooo!
