Top 10 Funniest Games

I'm pretty shocked that Sam and Max didnt make that list, those games were full of sharp wit and slapstick humour.
 
They put leisure suit larry in there but not space quest or day of the tentacle?

Eh, I dunno. I didn't think most of these were particularly funny, but then again I wouldn't know what other games to mention.
 
I don't recall Red Alert being particularly amusing.
 
The only think funny in Red Alert is the over-acted poisonings.

If anything they should have put NOLF instead of Portal...
 
Their justification: portal because of the crazy ai and the cake lololol. Red Alert because the acting in the FMV was so lousy. Resident Evil because of the voice acting in broken english.

On a correct list, Portal wouldn't be on it. It has a light atmosphere and amusing writing, but in the top ten funniest games it certainly is not.

It lays dark and dry humor on thick. I cracked a smile almost every time GLaDOS said something.

What? Is this based off anything? I enjoyed the humor in Portal a hell of a lot, where is this bullshit coming from? I honestly can't tell if you're being serious, but statements like this seem very unlike you.

It seems to be awarding points to games for being funny on the basis of them being hilariously bad. Which is a poor way to do it. You don't see Top 10 funniest movies lists with Street Fighter in them.

Day of the Tentacle obviously would be in any proper Top 10 list of this nature.
 
Well, I can't say the title is misleading. It does say funniest after all, and funny can be comedic or complete development fail.

Also for some reason I found the original Banjo Kazooie rather hilarious. Too lazy to actually watch a GT feature right now but I'm hoping it features Vice City and Monkey Island as well.

Portal should be on the list because there just aren't enough genuinely funny games to fill it out anyway. I found myself forcing to laugh even on Monkey Island playthroughs. There's always something rather twee about game humour, even in the best titles.

Psychonauts had its moments mind. Also, I've played like 4 of the titles actually in the list. And I'm British and therefore either think my comedy is above you all, or that David Jason falling through an open bar-flap is shit my pants brilliant.

We've a lot to answer for.
 
Left4Dead made me laugh more than Portal, and TF2 has the most laughs, I am constantly hearing some funny stuff on that, whether its some guy singing or a little kid playing the game and everyone swearing obscenities theres always something to laugh about...plus it helps that the Spy does his crab walk and other funny animations
 
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The wonderful and absolutely fantastic VCR station.
 
No mention of No One Lives Forever is inexcusable. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is definitely a candidate (it's the funniest of the series, imo), and what about Worms 2?!
