You can shape-shift weapons onto yourself, like giant arm-mounted armor-piercing spires. If I remember correctly, the character morphs his arms into these immediately before landing on the tank. Pretty badass.
 
Is it just me, or is the character way overpowered? He basically mowed down anything in his way.

The game seems to be way too easy. Just like crackdown.
 
Crackdown was hella fun (at least in co-op mode). In any case, I loved what I saw and hope that there is a demo to try sometime.

I laughed at the "Shoot him! He's the real one!" part.

That's the point. I guess you never played Mercenaries.
 
It's only the way over the top violence and destruction that makes this look at all interesting. Take away body slamming tanks and helicopters, running up buildings and body surfing, and you might as well play generic 3rd person action game x.
 
Take away the story and the Gravity Gun from HL2 and you might as well play generic 1st person shooter game x.

i never really understood these ****ed up, exaggerated , unrealistic, kill em all shooters. you see...crysis is far more realistic but still fun.

oh and yea...i mean it...that game is probably gonna get real boring real soon.

Its not a shooter and if I wanted to play a realistic shooter I'd just go out in public with weapons.

I love how every one of Remus' posts ends in a confusing fashion where it's written wrong but it still reads the way it was intended.
 
I think this will basically be just like ultimate destruction. Quite fun but will lose its appeal very quickly once the main story has been finished.

Seriously, Mercenaries was awesome and if you disagree you can go suck on some garbages.

Why is the video so choppy? Anyone else experience that?

Looked like I was looking at a bunch of stills with audio in the background.
 
this and infamous look so incredibly mediocre. i can see why some of you like the fact you can surf on people and throw them into helicopters etc etc, but deep down you know its going to get really monotonous, really fast - and then you will have no choice but to use the disk as a drinks-coaster
 
From all I've seen and heard, I really doubt it's going to get monotonous very fast at all.
 
It's coming out really close to Arkham Asylum and I think I can only get one. :(

The gameplay looks amazing but the gfx are out right horrible.

Apart from the fact that it looks boring and I absolutely don't get what it's about it's one of those games that give shooters a bad name. Can you see the headlines after the next school shooting? Who bets that they will find this piece of s*** on the shooters PC?!

It's a ****ing game who's sole purpose in existing is to provide MINDLESS ENTERTAINMENT.

You ****ing devour people in order to gain their identities, memories, and knowledge to piece together your own past. I don't think any school shooting could possibly be connected to a game where you run across skyscrapers, surf on human corpses, punch holes through peoples chests and grow giant monster claws.

The closest thing they could pin this to is The Thing, and that's just...silly.

Erm... it's a game. As in something that's meant to be fun.

Story? Message? You do know that games don't require either.

If you and others in this thread find the idea of a game where you kill hundreds of soldiers/civilians with only a thin narrative to back it up so offensive... Then GTFO.

The funny thing is I didn't even know you could use guns or vehicles until this video. It's not particularly designed to be a shooter, so if the guy was training for his killing spree he'd obviously go for a more grounded and realistic FPS. Lets be logical people.
