Topic in #steam says Thursday

Rambo? I recognized your sig.

It's me, Jager the Ubi Moderator.

Yea, but keep in mind they said the same thing for 7/7.

yooooooo Jager i knew i saw ur nick around here. Yeah its the Gr8 1 alright

He said that there is an outside chance of tommorow, but very unlikely. Thursady is much more likely.

It's all bull man. They keep stretching it just to hold our attention. I'll be surprised if we get it before August.

is it even going to be new videos? i heard it was the e3 tech demo with higher quality and like an added 2 min.

??

And later this week we're supposed to get new media. But allegedly Thursday is the big day we get the E3 direct feed. Possibly Wednesday, but let's face it, Valve can't be trusted with a dime. I'll givem til Thursday, if not here, I'm just going to forget it and go play another game until September 30th.

Like I said. I will be extremely pissed off(as if I was not already) if they don't release anything new.

I did ask Erik on the Steam channel and he said that there will be new stuff released this week. Lets hope.

Ridic: just the e3 demos at super-high quality
new stuff might come soon after though

Why be pissed. They are fricking making HALF LIFE 2!!!! Who cares about some movies. Aslong as HL2 comes out when its said to come out. Sep 30th.

Why hate valve (some people say that.. =/ )

I would like to see you do better.

I am just shooting this out the the crowd. No one person singled out.

I am quite happy at the news of the high res. movies because i can hardly see the details on the current large movie. Also, the new content is very excellent news.

You just got here man, the rest of us have been waiting more than 2 weeks for this crap. I wish I just walked into this, woulda saved my ass alot of useless hours.

I also have been waiting the 2 weeks, just trying to act innocent :-p

Anything HL2 would be great, these people on the boards are going nuts for new stuff (mainly the older people, not the first post people). They have been waiting a long time.

I personaly can wait a long time. But thats me. That was my 1st post here, I have been reading these forums for about a month or so. Never took the time to register though.

edit
This post has no meaning. I just got that. (post, not topic)

it would have saved alot of useless hours if someone hadn't posted that fake comment about july 1st.

re-calculate the countdown, sit back and watch the time go sloowly

I too have been waiting 2 weeks for this...

What have they been doing for the past 2 weeks if they still need to "perfect" the videos and bugs.....

I just dont get it.... biggest update ive seen so far was yesturday with that platfrom junk... didnt do much..heh...

Well im comming back on thursday.. IM NOT WASTING MY DAMN WEEK ON THIS THING! so im gonna go play some.. TENNIS tomorow! w00t.. er.. today 1:01 am... lol... ok im goin to bed night!

The videos are just a way for them to test the stability of steam. So they want to iron out most bugs in steam before they bring out the videos to see how the steam network performs under big stress.

Hell... I think they should screw the movie altogether and try to get HL2 out the door before the end of summer ;)

Yeh, and these vids sound like the stress test from hell... massive files, public release of Steam, huge interest in these videos...

Upwards of 100,000 people trying to download at once probably.

Good simulation of HL2 release day though, if Steam just breaks down under that kind of load they need to know now rather than on September 30th.

couldn't agree more. The videos are just a "We need something to test this system." And what better to test it on than newer his res half life 2 videos that are quite large and still be delivered at 200 kb per sec with upwards of 100,000 people automatically downloading them. People, this is just a test. I have to stop "spending useless hours" at this computer. I need to stop thinking about Half Life 2. I'll just wait untill i see the half life 2 videos in my steam menu. Good day my fellow gamers
