Tornado Sirens going off....lights flickering

My water is still intact, but the baby, I fear, will become dinner a few hours too soon.

And now it's hailing. SWEEEET.

For once a god damn storm that doesn't sail through Texas to get to you Pitz.

Been sunny all day long here.

But wait... is this storm moving west across the states? Or did it come from the northwest on southeast?

i dont want pitz to die. :(

man... we havent had hail over here for so many years... like, last time i remember was 11 years ago when i was four. :(

if u have a camera, dont be afraid to film it....your death that is.

What is that common phrase now they use? Youtube material or something? Pitz, IMO if I were you, I would quit StarCraft now and go underneath in the den where you keep that little boy. The weather center is saying shit is hitting the fan and they put out tornado warnings in your area: http://www.weather.com/newscenter/alerts/national/severeWxAlertsNational.html?from=hp_news
CyberPitz: A TORNADO CANT HOLD OFF THE AWESOMENESS OF STARCRAFT
NOW THAT'S DEDICATION FOLKS! NOT EVEN A 15YR OLD S.KOREAN WOULD PLAY SC IN HURRICANE WEATHER!

Anyone want to post pictures of damage caused? I'm especially interested in seeing your back garden river, it sounds like a natural blessing.

I didn't have any damage or flooding around me. Back yard was a little wet, but nothing else. Richard probably has some rocking pictures.

Texas... We don't have basements, and we don't have Tornado Shelters. At least not in the suburbs.

Lousy Texas. A tornado has been through this area before too, in my neighborhood once.

I don't understand how a river would help.

(CNN) -- At least 20 people were killed Saturday in Oklahoma and Missouri as tornadoes and other severe weather swept across the Midwest, according to emergency management agencies in both states.
"We've seen homes that were completely leveled to the foundation," Brown said. "In a few of these homes you would have had to be subterranean to survive."
"It looks like a war zone," she said. "Some homes have fallen in, some homes have lost roofs, and some are now just slabs."

Cyberpitz...you better ****ing post right now or i swear i will ****ing panic

it's raining here, with winds exceeding 50mph... It sounds like hail, and hurts like hell, and I can't go outside. :(

A tornado has been through this area before... scary shit...

By the way, this has been a really mild tornado season. The media blows it way out of proportion each year. -.-

We are having a nice Storm here. It took a whole bleeding week to actually produce one

i couldn't live in tornado alley...i swear i'd be so paranoid everytime it was a cloudy day for i fear a large F5 tornado will take my life away.

No storms around here for some time, but weeks ago it would never stop raining. It rained for around 4 days straight.

Early in 1998 several tornadoes went through Florida after midnight, our house took a direct hit from an F4 and was completely destroyed around us. All 5 of us were in our beds when it happened, and only woke up during and after it hit, and none of us were even injured by it (only me and my dad were indirectly injured by stepping on some glass/nails getting out of the wreckage).

Damn, that's hardcore. Good to see you were OK!

On May 10, 2008, Picher was struck by a tornado. As of May 11th there were nine confirmed deaths, possibly including one child, and many other injuries. Emergency management office is reporting that about 20 blocks of the town are heavily damaged. The residential area was hardest hit and many of the homes and trailers were leveled to the ground.[9] Oklahoma governor Brad Henry has said that a major emergency response was underway and has sent National Guard troops along with emergency personnel to the area to help with disaster relief efforts.[10][11]

Wow... crazy.

Tornados are the only natural disasters that frighten me.

Environment

Picher has become notable because it is located very near the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Tar Creek Superfund site. The site was contaminated decades ago from underground lead and zinc mining. Chat piles left behind by the mining companies have lead dust that has blown around the town. Elevated lead levels in Picher children have led to learning disabilities and other problems. The lead and zinc have also seeped into groundwater, ponds, and lakes, many of which still have children swimming in them. The children of Picher have been found to have toxic levels of lead in their bodies, the EPA has since declared Picher to be one of the most toxic areas in the United States.[3][5]

Currently the future of site is a controversial political issue. U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK), supports cleaning up the site with a $45 million cleanup plan, to be executed by the EPA, the Department of the Interior, and two of the responsible mining companies.[citation needed]

U.S. Representative Brad Carson (D-OK), supports buying out the families at the center of the site and moving them to a safer location. The Oklahoma Legislature has earmarked $3 million to move families that have children under 6 years of age.[citation needed]

Other areas affected by Tar Creek mining include Cardin, Miami, North Miami and Quapaw.[citation needed]

On April 24, 2006, Reuters reported that Picher had been scheduled to be closed and all residents removed. Due in large part to the heavy mining, many of the town's structures have been deemed in imminent danger of caving in.[6]

The town pharmacist Gary Linderman was featured in the May 28, 2007, issue of People Magazine in the Heroes Among Us article "Prescription for Kindness". He vowed to stay as long as there was anyone left who needed him and to be the last one out of town.[7]

Picher was featured in the PBS Independent Lens film The Creek Runs Red discussing the connection of the people and their desire to leave or stay in town.[8]

I guess Picher is closed now, huh?

Protect the RX-8, at all costs

At the very least, keep detailed blueprints of its rotary engine so future generations can develop and enhance it.

I kept it safe, Baal. The tornado was like "Hey bitch, give that to me!", and I bitch slapped the tornado and said, "NO!" It left.

There's a siren going off all the time on campus. I have no clue what it's for though, no announcements or emails, just random *wooooOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo
Not weather related cause nothing happens (or when it does its just a tstorm and no siren)

Here is a lick of what happened in Pitcher Oklahoma...

Totaly hardcore. Damn, the worst storm I have felt was about 30 mp/h.

Yeah, we usually get these types of tornadoes. There was one, I believe last year, that did about the same, but on a much larger range. So far, Joplin is safe from these bullies!

I hate it when the freakin wind inside outs my umbrella. I wanna punch it in the face.

Nothing but toothpicks left! If it's any comfort Pitz, New England is getting all the wind now. It's so windy outside and howling so I can imagine what happened in MO and OK.
