I was shocked this morning to notice over the last 6 hours while Ive been asleep, that it has officialy slipped back. But by two freakin months..? Why couldnt Valve just have swallowed their pride and not given us a load a miss information and admited two months ago that the game would not make a 30/9 release..Only now do they tell us 1 week from supposed release date..Gah..!!! It is obvious to me now that they probably knew that it wouldnt make that date ages ago, but instead choose to hype a 30/9 date to get more publicity. Well, this is one member of the public who is wholly disapointed at this ridiculously late news. I myself work in the Dev industry as an artist and I can tell you from experience that this is nothing short of typical for a game dev team, even one such as Valve. Words come easy but action is a different ball game, and quite often dev teams break their own pithy rules and invariably p**ss a lot of devoted fans off.! And here we are, 1 week before a supposed release date of the biggest computer game in human history and Valve go and pull this stunt. All the last two months interviews and statement's from Valve about making a date have been total rubish, as Im sure they knew in the back of their minds that they wouldnt make it, but choose to hype anyway.
Ok, thats my rant over, on the boards anyway. Im now going to spend the 60 smakkers Ive got for Valve on the most stupid and worthless thing I can think of just to annoy them..! ( Any1 need any toilet paper..?).....Wake me up next year please..!!!!
