Nadeo has released another TrackMania game. And this time around it's free! Download TrackMania Nations here or here, and read more about it here.
The TrackMania series reminds me a lot of Stunts, an arcade race game from the early 90's with a track editor.
Installing now, impressions later.
 
Wow, quick first impression is very good. Arcade racing at its finest. Worth the download already.
 
Whenever I try to click the Internet option from the main menu to get online...it just sits there and eventually says, "bad proxy" I'm not even using a proxy.

EDIT: nm, now it's working.
 
Wow, this is great. Online and offline. Haven't tried the track creator yet, but I did customise my car. Download this guys. We can have a lot of fun with it, creating our own tracks and racing online together.

First they release a free expansion for TM:Sunrise and now this.

3d gamers is pretty nice, I only waited 3 mins and it's going at 300kb per second, thats a decent speed.

It's protected by Starforce. And there's only one type of car. Except for that I couldn't find any catches. You get to play as much as you want, both offline and online. You can upload the tracks you made yourself. You can even customise the look of your car.
 
having alot of fun with it, although I don't know how some of the racers get thet imes they do, I mean they must hit corner and ramp perfectly.
 
It's fun as hell, though hard to be really good at.

HL2net games are a must.
 
Just been practicing doing those Advanced courses, this game is soo much fun! :D I managed to get quite a few golds.

Time for a little go on the editor methinks.
 
I painted my car to say HL2NET and ENNUI on it :D

Someone should make an awesome skin for us all.
 
Big fan of Trackmania games.

Is the music in this one good? The music in Sunrise was SECHS, but the one in Sunrise Extreme sucked so bad.

I resent that. Although it's not ace, it's still good. It's all about taste.
 
Ah man, I'm addicted! So fun... and the graphics are f*cking UNBELIEVABLE.
 
Man this is really addictive. I've started to use my Xbox 360 controller seeing as the game didn't like my keyboard sometimes. I usually come 2nd or 1st now ^_^

Can you skin the cars in something like photoshop?
 
So are any of the maps stunt-centric?

If not, and I'm not a big racing fan... should I stay away from the game?

you don't need photoshop at all, theres a built in paint feature under the profile section I believe.
 
Yeah there is. Just not that good to use really :p

EDIT: Oh, and does anyone have any idea why my dteering locks up sometimes? Like i'm going round a bend then it sudden straightens up and i have to double tap the direction i want to go in to make the wheels turn again. Very annoying.
 
Expect to be whooped by trackmania veterans. Easy to start, hard to master.
 
played it tonight with shaker on a guy called ph4lanx's server in holland, it was all his own maps and it was brilliant, not too hard, not too easy, always a good challenge, the demo definately has that ''1 more go'' feel to it...
 
This is such a potato chip game, it's so simple but I can't stop, the only problem I have is that I dunno if the custom skins are loading most of the time

Where's the fun in that? Mid-air collisions would own.
 
This game is good fun, I hope they get the ladder back up working and they are getting paid per player count :)

And I go to save, and keeps saying "File is read-only"...

Save it as a new file, don't overrite an existing one
 
I put "[HL2.net]" on the sides, and "JNight ftw" on the rear spoiler. It's teh pwn. I'll post a pic later.
