Trading Games

Does anyone have the old game "Tribes: Vengence" & would be willing to trade another game for it? My daughter saw me playing Serious Sam 2 a month or so ago & asked if she could try. She ended up loving it. I then introduced her to Coop. Now she wants to play every game I have that has coop. Needless to say we quickly played through it. Now we are playing GRAW2 & UT2K4 over LAN. I showed her a game play trailer of Tribes & she asked me if we could try playing it over LAN as well. I found my old manual for the game, but the jewel case is missing & I couldn't find it anywhere.

Awesome, glad to see that they still have it up for free.
Hopefully the installer's alot better now, it took me atleast 2 hours to install it before.(atleast a year ago)

edit: Nope, installer is still the same and you still have to visit another website to obtain a serial. :|

Installer worked fine for me. Install the main component and then drag the SP into it. Simple. Getting a serial takes all of a minute.

Okay, I never even got a prompt for a serial and the game works fine all around, there was no dragging of anything either.

Barely anyone even playing anymore, no surprise there though... it's pretty much hated amongst the Tribes community.

It asks for serial when you try to go online afaik. The dragging I mentioned is when the SP addon thing decides to unpack into the wrong directory.

It does not.
I went online and it didn't ask for the serial at all.

It does ask for a serial. You have to go to games bin folder and run tvkeychanger.exe to change it. You may already have a key in your registry however which would make this step irrelevant.

I married Top Secrets Sister 10 years ago this month.
My Daughter is Top Secrets Niece.

She has begun to show a real interest in FPS type games. She loves UT2K4 & kicks all kinds of ass at it. We had a blast playing through SS2 & GRAW2. She really likes Co-Op games where we can work as a team. However, with UT2K4, she likes being on the other team every so often, just to show me that she can kick my ass any time she wants. :flame:

As for Tribes: Vengence, I ended up just having to get the game elsewhere since I could not get it to install correctly after downloading it from that site, let alone getting it to run. Being as I had not played it for a couple years, I had forgotten that it did not have MP/LAN/COOP bots. So after 15 mins of chasing each other around, my daughter got bored quickly. She was dissing the games lower graphic quality, so I had to school her with the Gamers lore that "Great Graphics do not make a Great Game". She started the SP campaign & so far really likes it.

I'm trying to get her interested in RPG's, but so far, she wants nothing to do with them. Not fast enough paced I believe.

Sounds like me and my dad. We always played Halflife, Quake 2 and what not together. The day I showed him Counter-Strike, though....we'd get up at 5AM before work/school and play until we leave. We'd get home and play for the next few hours. Was great fun, and it's unfortunate he isn't into video games anymore. Darned old people!
