Transformers Teaser RELEASED

If this movie does not have any Beastie boys music in it, it fails.

I just hope the CGI is good, since it's all this movie has to offer, it better be the best ****ing CGI money can buy.

It better be good! Transformers are classic.

It won't be good, but we can still pray.

Disclaimer: Prayer does nothing and won't kill Michael Bay.

Its by Micheal Bay guys, don't get ur hopes up.

I appoint you to fire Micheal Bay and find someone who could do it right then!

/prays that it won't disgrace transformers

Anyone more talented then Uwe Boll could do a better job then Micheal Bay.

I appoint you Asus, make us proud!

So why is a little deceptacon on Mars?

Why are we watching a teaser for a movie that won't be released for over a year?

I hate waiting.

Lets be honest here, Transformers is not an incredibly nuanced and subtle series. We want to see giant transforming robots blow stuff up. I think Bay might be able to handle this one.

Go back a few years and that's what they were saying about the third and fourth batman movies.
Batman Begins blew those turds out of the water.

The question is potential. Sure, it's a kid's movie, but there's nothing stopping a kid's movie from being a Pixar-quality narrative.

Nothing except Michael Bay and a dearth of ambition.

Remeber, the original Transformers movie is mainly notable as being remarkably mature for a "robots blow stuff up" children's picture.

Its good for a teaser, i mean teasers usually are just the logo and a flash. I like the logo so its cool.

A transformers movie?:| Why don't they make a Lego movie while they're at it:rolleyes: .

That looked pretty spiffy.

I've never watched the transformers shows.
But I do have a few toys... well Beast Wars toys atleast.

Beast Wars was a kickass show. Made by the folks who made Reboot. It was genuinely great.

That's basically the quality I'd like to see, but expect that we won't get, from this movie.

I think Bay can handle himself alright on some types of movies.

I hated Pearl Harbour, but The Island was one of the best action movies I've seen in a while.

Yeah, but he did do the Rock. So he can make a decent movie.

Michael Bay is movie poison. My sights are set on 'Low' for this in hopes that it pleasantly surprises me.

Beast Wars was amazing!! :D

The show debuted around 1996, and 10 years later the CGI look is still one of the best on TV.

I used to watch the Transformers (old) but I remember avoiding Beast Wars later on. :x

Michael Bay? Transformers Movie? This movie is on the fast-track to being dubbed "not as painfully awful as you'd expect" by just about everyone given how low their expectations will be. Either that or it'll just plain suck. I think I'll go with the sucking.

Take a look at that.

Then note this: That was done by some guy. ILM (yes, ILM - Lucas' people) has come out and said what they have is better.

To sum up: The CGI will kick ass.

As for Bay directing. I'm fine with it. I want to see the show stay true to some of the roots (I demand some of the old voices back or at least Guitar Hero quality immitations - Also along the lines of story) and I want to see some kickass action.

If Michael Bay can bring me a movie with good action like he did with Bad Boys 1 & 2 (minus the retarded exploding heroin huts or whatever at the end of 2) and The Rock (one of my favorite action movies ever) then I'll be totally satisfied.

Yeah, that looks pretty damned snazzy :) Can't say i'm particuarly a fan of the basic designs behind the Transformers though, probably in part because I was never a fan in childhood. At the end of the day, a truck that transforms into robot just doesn't do it for me :p

You forgot the part with huge guns, 80's music and pure awesomeness.

If you don't like that, you're no man.

It's not that I don't like that in principle, just that if I want transforming robots that beat each other shitless, Big Fook-off Guns, cheesetastic synthesised music and general sillyness, Zeta Gundam is more than sufficient. Hell, you even get the joy of RANDOM ENGLISH PHRASES dropped into the middle of those 80s songs.

It's a well known fact that anime is the mecha of all robot inclination (this is an intentionally lame pun. And sure, most anime makes no sense at all and is inclined to ridiculous cliches, deus ex machinas and other bad things, but we're talking about Robot fisticuffs. It's hardly a standing ticket for Shakespeare's Globe :p )

No shame in not being a man, well over half the world's population cut a successful path through existence without ever becoming men.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is called an off-topic post. Sorry!

GHEEEEEEEEEEEY.

The teaser anyway. Hopefully the movie might be good.

Why does it look oddly like a barren area in Nevada or in California?

:p
Why does Nevada and California look like Mars? :D

Looks more like the Utah salt flats to me.
Mars has an orange-pink sky, by the way.

That's the attention to detail and authenticity that Michael Bay specializes in. :p

Beasties/Beastwars/Reboot were fantastic. But not the beastwars on Cybertron. That was just ghey.

Where is the trademark transformers transform sound?

If Metroplex and Trypticon have a fight in this I'll pop the biggest, blackest boner ever.

personally i thought Beast Wars never really came close to the legendary cartoon that was those old Transformers series...and i guess thats kinda why i did not like it as much as you did...and my brother...yeesh he loved Beast Wars :x
