These guys made Grand Ages: Rome which had nice visuals/presentation but the game was simple and dull. Too many strategy games are made for idiots nowadays.

You are El Presedente, the newly installed ruler of a Caribbean island. Govern it how you will, Side with the USA or USSR (or play them off against each other). Build up your economy, have your soldiers and police keep order and fight off the rebels (if you get rebels), etc.

Think Sim City but in the Caribbean, while poking fun at the cold war.

Just played the Tropico 2 demo and it's pretty fun once you figure out how to get skilled people etc.

Tropico was awesome, I played it for hours, loved it. I didn't get into Tropico 2 though. Can't wait for this, I think the origional developer was Popcam or something, shame that they aren't doing this one.

Looks a lot more 'modern', I wonder how it will work with cars and stuff, almost seems like a Sim City than a micro-management style game the origional was.
