Trouble With FireFox and Adobe Flash Player

hey guys.
i'm having a problem with installing adobe flash player while using firefox 3. I attempt to install and an error pops up reading:

"Firefox could not install this item because "install-iyw..rdf" (provided by the item) is not well-formed or does not exist. Please contact the author about this problem."

Any idea what i should do?

You tried installing it directly from the Adobe website, or are you installing it via Firefox's extension installer?

i've tried both
neither are working for me.

I just installed Adobe Flash Player and received no problems as far as I can see.

Do you have the latest Beta of FF3?

If you do, I'd recommend installing it on FF2, seeing if that carries over to 3, if not, the only thing I can suggest is using FF2 :/
