Yes, it's sick. It's a perversion of what many hold to be the ultimate good (religion), but what's worse, it's a brutal targeting of an innocent group of people. However, by going to these sites and paying these people attention, we're playing into their hands. Groups like this thrive on attention and controversy. I think the best thing we can do is ignore them, and understand that they symbolize the darkest facet of humanity- blind hatred.
 
I kind of thought he was talking about pics of dead, murdered people or something.
 
But this shouldn't be considered "freedom of speech"

There are signs saying "thank god for dead soldiers", "thank god matthew shepherd is dead", "thank god for 9/11." That has to be breaking some sort of rule....
 
I agree the ****ers are way out of line, but I don't think there's anything that can be done besides ignoring them.

People who so cruelly break the Laws of Decency do not deserve to exist, even if they are legally entitled to existence.

THen bring out the big guns and try to convert them to my omnipotent, omniscient spaghetti being. Its easy to figure out if your going to spghelletii or spagheaven. If you like spaghetti your pure and good and if you dont your an evil being.
 
Yep, they got national attention a while back for loudly protesting at soldier's funerals. AT the funerals, against the soldiers- nothing to do with Iraq or war or anything either, they do it because they claim the US military defends gays and american immorality or something.

Ugh, yeah, I saw these guys on some show the other night and it made me want to retch. The hate that these trogs preach is no less horrifying than the ideologies of the KKK and the Nazis. Sick garbage.

They are doing for Christianity what the terrorists are doing for Islam.
 
Exactly. Nonetheless, I'm gonna have to go with Voltaire on this one: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." What they're saying is despicable, harsh, one might even say evil. However, I firmly believe in the right to speak your mind. Hence, they should be allowed to say it. This is why we must simply ignore them.

No, I'm pretty sure he's saying that they're giving Christians everywhere a bad name. Which is absolutely true. You don't have to kill people just to tarnish your "cause".

I'm going to be completely honest, I wouldn't place myself in harm's way do defend these folks. I would not fight to the death for someone to brandish an ignorant placard. If free speech for everyone is the issue, then I'd do it, but not for this shit.

I don't understand the message they're trying to pass. I mean, you'd think "godhatesfags.com" is pretty clear, but their messages seem to be a lot more about hating on the US.

I think they're just trying to be controversial for kicks.
