Ok my friend almost bought one of the new nividia cards today and i told him not to because of the benchmarks ive seen comparing ATI and nvidia here. So he asked me to make a list of what for him to buy, only thing is i dont want to end up getting him mixed up in some crappy system or whatever. So i gotta ask for u guys for help, with the latest 9800 RADEON ATI card thats out now what would be a good processor for him to upgrade to for him to be able to handle it? I dont know what hes running on now but what would be a processor that would run it good and with a reasonable price tag, but wouldnt make it bottleneck? Thank u guys so much if u can help.

depends on what his motherboard supports.
is he getting a new motherboard? or just vcard and cpu?

Perfect, all he needs is his 9800 and a good mobo. nForce makes the best chipset.. if all else fails, KT600.

Reccommended mobos: Abit NF7-S for AMD($110) Abit IS7-G, or IC7-G for Intel($100-$225)

A7N8X Deluxe is also a good AMD mobo. As for Intel mobos I second Sgt.Igneri's sujestions.
