Dear community and visitors!
Today I write to break the silence which overwhelmed the homepage for a long period of time. I don't want to babble around much so here is where we are:
The whole team is working hard to get as much into The Trenches 1.1 as possible. But unfortunately time is running away for us because we have some kind of deadline untill everything has to be implemented.
We recognized that it won't be possible to make a full The Trenches 1.1 release which means we have to make cuts to our previous plans. Some features get cut and many simplified. I've tried to compile a list where you can see what is planned.
* MG gunner class added
* Officer class added
* Artillery strikes added
* Gas attacks added
* Gasmasks added
* Flare guns added
* HMGs and LMGs added
* Pistols for officer class added
* Climbing added
* Map overviews added
* New Weapons added: Luger P08, Webley Revolver, FEK, Webley and Scott Flare Gun, Hebel Flare Gun, Webley and Scott Automatic, C96, MG0815, Vickers, Bergmann, Lewis
* Voice commands added
* Maps removed: tp_lost, tt_attack, tt_cliff, tt_hill, tt_trapped
* Maps added: tp_fromage, tp_fromage-night, tt_ardennes, tt_arras, tt_artois, tt_cote304, tt_retreat, tt_sumpf, tt_wald
* Fixes for known bugs (e. g. helmet camming)
I hope this gives you a little overview of what you can expect from 1.1. There still might be stuff cut (most likely the heavy machine guns due to technical issues) or added (e. g. maps which are not yet finished). We'll see what we can do.
For those of you who read the post untill the end I have a little reward. The deadline is reached in 4 weeks. We don't know how much work we can get done afterwards so we try to work as hard as possible until then. Please keep patient. And don't ask for a releasedate. We will provide media of the new stuff again in coming news posts.
