During my spare time, I sometimes find it entertaining reading negative reviews for shitty companies and products. For example....
Stamps.com Reviews
In summary....
The best part is every stamps.com service is free and easy on USPS.com and Paypal.com
P.S. I found this because I’ve started selling on ebay, and ran across their site.... but then became uneasy by all the “free shit” and lack of information on pricing. Started reading reviews... and then kept reading for entertainment value.
Anyone else enjoy looking at shitty reviews? With the popularity of Angry Video Game Nerd, Penn & Teller's Bullshit, Zero Punctuation, and others... I can't be the only one.
Stamps.com Reviews
In summary....
- They charge $17/month (for something that’s free on USPS.com or paypal)
- Their “freebies” aren’t free.
- Their “risk free trial” means you must cancel within the first 28 days... or you’re charged for the first month. AND the second month.
- Their “free $50 scale” costs $10 shipping and is worth maybe $5.
- Their “Free postage” is spread out over 3-4 months, meaning you pay more in service fees.
- Misprinted postage must be MAILED to them, and is often not refunded.
- Canceling is near impossible
- Service representatives are foreign / difficult to understand.
- Must call specific phone number between certain times on M-F
- Phone calls are frequently disconnected
- Customer service gives the “AOL runaround”
- Services aren’t always canceled after canceling
- Printing stamps can only be done on expensive paper you have to order from them (and type in serial #).
