Tunnels Movie question...

but i found it quite nice in bf an bf is sorta fps ?
anyways so ud like him to keep his weapon (empty his hands) and see his hands on the bars in fp ?

It seems that you have never played HL1... the point is that you are gordon and not some camera that follows around gordon whenever he climbs up a ladder

i know the emphasis is on the first person view i was just wondering wouldnt it be nice? to see him climb in 3rd person.

i suppose, if youre into watching guys asses as they climb ladders.

won't see him in 3rd person. you ARE Gordon freeman, and you can;t see yourself

are you bonkers??? Hell NO!!!

What about multiplayer? Gordon was in HL1 multiplayer.
I would like to see people actually climb ladders rather than being able to slide up them backwards while shooting... but I would not like to have the camera go out into a 3rd person view.

hey im just saying it u dont have to eat me.
it worked for bf.
so wht would u guys prefer the hands on the bars in fp?

Putting away the gun and actually using your hands to climb the ladder would help to make the game feel more like you are actually interacting with the environment.
... this would be along the same line as having your hands on the steering wheel of vehicles. On that subject I think you should show the hands, lock the view forward, and have a mirror(s) to see what is behind you... only passengers/gunners should be able to look around freely.

I just think that if they have gone to such great lengths to create an engine that has incredible character/facial animation, physics, AI, graphics, etc... missing things like having your hands interact with ladders and steering wheels will stand out like Robert Wadlow (8'11") in Japan.
