Turning Stuff with Gravity Gun

Hi, I have found it hard or impossible to pick up things like barrels and turrets that are lying on their sides and turning them upright. Is there an easy way to do this. I try picking them up high and dropping them but that doesnt work. I want to see if I can set up a turret to help me with the Queen Antilion. Thanks.

Pick them up and drop them on a low ledge so the perfect physics will make it fall upright.

there is a mod out there called Turnable Gravity gun that lets you do this. Search around.

Barrels are easy. When it's lying down, approuch the bottom of the barrel, crouch, pick it up ( you are now holding it like a spear or something) look straight up in the sky, drop it, before it hits the ground, catch it. Now, just put it down nice and easily. Or just get the turnable gravitygun mod, your choice.

If you're referring to the bathroom encounter, yes you can. I grabbed an enemy turret, brought it with me, and dropped it down in the hallway leading to the bathroom on it's "legs", jumped onto the final railing (not onto the floor, just to the railing) and the Antlion Guard spawns, and gets killed by the turret (takes about a minute or two)
